This is for former HD management and HR.

A DH told me she went went upsairs and got to hear a complaint agenst her...

That makes me wonder, are the calls recorded? if they are, its easy to for management to pinpoint who the call is from.

it is my understanding that is what happens. you then have a target on your back and face retaliation. but according to some schmuck at Store Support, I was told, "Home Depot does NOT tolerate retaliation and the parties involved will be dealt with". WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP! that is the only way HELL DEPOT knows how to manage....intimidation, manipulation, threats and LIES. frank blake has no idea what is going on his stores....or if he does....he is the biggest corporate SCMUCK there is!

i am a ex opeations manager and yes the calls are recorded now who gets to hear them is really interesting we had a store manager ( good ol boy club ) who had associates renting houses from him used p card for taking cetain associates to lunch christmas funds for other than christmas party took money from employee fund and used for a movie night for the department heads well the employee fund filed a complaint fyi no manager can tell the employee fund how they cant use the chrismas money given by the company witch happens all the time anyway the employee fund filed complaints called aware line and are district h.r played the tape for the store manaer so he could id the employee see all there assses were on the line over this so next thing you know store manager knows who called by voice on tape that associate was gone with approval from district hr within two weeks the district hr now has been promoted and working in atlanta the store manager continues to harrass sleep around spend funds any way he wants ...... bottom line depot doesnt care about you , or any employee there hr covers store manager usually do to they have stuff on each other its a good ol boy club that worsens has the years go by and the fake paperwork and forgery of documents will always be if you need to file a serious complaint that you have proof and can do something about dont bother with the aware line straight to EEOC the more complaints the more EEOC gets involved and starts regulations much better than a union ........ for all those still stuck in the hell of depot watch your backs and feel for your customer there the ones spending there hard earned money in a very unethical company that if they only new how you were treated they would not spend there hard earned money there some day this will get to the media packaged very nicly and the customers will know what really home depot is about and watch depot curl ....... take care of your selves and what is left of customers and document everything everyday you can make copies of schedules to show EEOC invest in a phone with camera and audio .....hr poistion is gone from store but what is at corporate is worse than any nightmare you can have there left in corporate why because they are the most unethical of the bunch

Wow, your lack of proper writing skill is shocking. No punctuation, misspellings, impro per sentence structure, etc. Did you graduate high school? Be grateful you have ANY job with your lack of intelligence.

now this is a great example of retaliation. this jill is obviously part of the corrupt HD management. can't take the truth there jill? straighten up! you don't need an Einstein to walk around the HD store like little monkey's awaiting orders from your zoo-keeper (store manager).

so what? how are they going to resolve your IP address to you without a subpoena from the court?

and if you're worried about having your IP address recorded, just send it anonymously via TOR

Jill your a jerk, how dare you say that to anyone. I suppose you are perfect. Never had any complaints. Maybe you ate the one that needs to go back to school to learn to treat people with respect.

I agree with Jill. I couldn't get through that dudes post because of the lack of punctuation. I want to believe there's no way he was actually an ASM, but judging by the writing abilities I've seen in emails between DMs, ASMs, DOMs, etc. it's likely that he's telling the truth.

I called the awareness line and I ask twice if calls are recorded and two different people say NO CALLS ARE NOT RECORDED , only documented all the concerns stated on the conversation that is why they give you a report # and pin # and date for follow up , for each concern you report to them. now if they do recorded then this will be a nice legal arbitration aganints them ,
They can not have retiliation againts the employee who called the awareness line , it got it be some point where Atlanta want to know what is happening and fixed the problem I do not think they are up for more legal trouble

And you believe these corporate schmucks? Get it through your head. Home Depot is managed by liars, manipulators, and people with NO morals or ethics. They will tell you what you WANT to hear; thus the saying "blowing smoke up your ass". Now, for the legal arbitration comment. Really? They have lawyers on spped dial at their beckon call AND the money to throw around. You think you got a chance? Next, the retaliation comment. Again, this is Home Depot we are talking about. Retaliation is their middle name. And lastly, do you think Atlanta cares? I am sure they have gotten enough phone calls and letters complaining about what is going on in the stores. But they don't care. They are corporate suits who protect their own and it doesnt matter if the associate is RIGHT. Liars protect liars.

No, the Awarelines are not recorded... People who lack direct knowledge should not speculate.

Awarelines calls are handled by a third party and if they did record the call, they would be required by law to inform you that the call was being recorded.

The Awareline and the EOC survey (not VOC) are your most effective tools for stirring the pot or throwing a bad manager under the bus.

the aware line does record your call and they tell you how you are wrong to complain and they send all the info to your store manager and district hr. so they know its time to get rid of you! i did not go to work yesterday because i am afraid of what they wil do to me next. the store i work in 4878 new milford ct. my girlfriend was a favorite to be promioted to assistant store manager until she started complaining about the injustice in the store. she went on leave of absence to get away from the drama and they fired her! because i will not ignore their misconduct, i now am facing the bullet after 12 years of service to a company whose only concern now is money apparently. they've promoted two part-time associates to department head. and one pathetic department head to assistant manager in the same store!!! i feel like there is no recourse for those of us who strive to do whats right. what does one do? and is there any benefit from filing a lawsuit?

and the time i called the awareline very upset, to the point that i was vomitting; the person on the other end seemed to be finding my situation quite funny. oh...and finding me at fault for hanging up on a vendor that was being very insultive and rude to me! i was told i should stay on the phone and get a manager to handle the call. truth is i still would have been written up a month later, because they have been looking for a reason since my girlfriend was fired. wheres the class action suit that would benefit all of us?!!

if you believe what you just said, good luck to you! home depot does what they want when they want! they are a machine. they make lots of money, and they don't give a damn about the worker bees. they have enough money to keep paying. its like the rebate forms they hand out with a gallon of paint; are you really gonna mail the damn thing or do you figure its not worth the effort?! home depot banks on you chickening out on finding a lawyer and paying for litigation. most people just piss and moan and look for another unpleasant employer to push them around.
