Not all, certainly some, not every store yet but, the thinning of the herd has been going on for some time now. Lotta paper being written based on newly created metrics. There has to be an age and/or dollar amount that is being looked at by corp. to get rid of people...

I was D.H. lumber and finally quit. I got on the bad side of my store manager when we were due to have an inspection. First he had us move the slab wire outside, than decided he wanted it inside again. The stuff is heavy and a general pain. Then he said he didn't like the way we had it positioned in the store. I said, "fine...I'll deal with it after lunch" I don't think he was very amused. He was a dweeb.

Like I said in another forum, when any organization gets as big as Home Depot it becomes clumsy, unresponsive, and just plain dumb.

Alan Watts put it well: "The intelligence of any institution is generally in inverse proportion to its size."
