Jerusalem is occupied territory, forbidden by Geneva convention to be annexed into Israel. Hasbro was correct in removing the country of Israel's geographic association with the city of Jerusalem. It would be misleading to say that Jerusalem is in Israel.

Huh? With this reasoning perhaps California, Arizona and New Mexico should be removed from the 50 United States.

Um, perhaps you are unfamiliar with the Geneva Convention? What you saying about USA removing the Western State might be the moral thing to do, but the Convention did not apply back then. Israel, on the other hand, signed the Geneva documents on 8-12-1949 and ratified them on 6-7-1951. This International law prevents countries from annexing land (perhaps as a way to prevent countries from doing exactly what the USA did with the Indians and Mexicans). I guess International Law helps direct countries to make the correct moral choices.(and holds them accountable when they do not)

I thought about the dates too when responding. In any event, Israel governs Jerusalem, providing all governmental services for this city and many of its residents are Israeli citizens. Jerusalem is more a part of Israel than Taiwan is a part of the Peoples Republic of China. Not sure how Hasbro had Taipei listed. In any event an interesting discussion ... not to be resolved here though I believe it is only East Jerusalem which was captured in the six day war by Israel in a preemptive strike against its Arab neighbors and not the western half. Thanks for posting.
