C.N. I'm not sure if you're following this discussion elsewhere, on Romney's supposed feelings on where to go with Medicare and SSI, for the elderly and handicapped. Here's a repost, tell me if this seems to be accurate to you, and what the agenda seems to be:
Okay, does this seem to be an accurate portryal of Romney's stated intentions to you?
I confess that I have pretty much given up on anything good coming from either Obama or Romney...
I did find this, which seems accurate as well as interesting:

Romney's positions on Medicare
Reform Medicare to create a premium support system that allows beneficiaries a stipend that can be used to purchase coverage. That coverage would come from either a private provider or the traditional government Medicare program.
Seniors who choose plans more expensive than traditional Medicare would have to pay the difference out of pocket. If they choose a less expensive plan, they can use the leftover amount on other medical expenses such as copays.
Medicare would be means-tested, with lower-income seniors receiving more generous support than wealthier seniors. This would ensure that those with fewer resources have access to care as good as that provided in the current Medicare system.
Competition would provide quality service while driving down costs. A market-oriented system would force providers, including the government, to find more efficient ways to provide better care for beneficiaries.

The main thing is that romney and republicans want social security and medicare out of Government hands so they alone can decide how to fund it.

Obama wants it obamacare to be funded with the money that goes to medicare.
Then the government can decide whether your worth being treated when you go before a panel of doctors, I am sure they will have one of their "political officers" on there too.

Thanks to Obamacare, your pre-existing retardation won't disqualify you from insurance.

You're welcome.

I wonder why you believe everything posted here that is not backed up with a source.... but when someone posts something you do not believe but proves it to be true with sources you start calling them names.

Well, for starters, Pamther, I don't believe a lot of what I read here... I mostly go on what I already know to be the truth, or what I personally believe in.

I suspect you're very much the same, if you were honest enough to admit it.

From what I gather, Romney and Ryan want to just pull the plug on our elderly and hanicapped citizens, which is intolerable to me and millions of other voters.

Obama is increasing the entitlements, Romney wants to help people help themselves.
All Obama cares about is controlling people by controlling their incomes.

And the Romney alternative is "survival of the most fit" in the threats that he'll be citting Madicare and Social Security payment... leaving millions of elderly and otherwise handicapped Americans with nothing?

Please correct me if I'm wrong... I really want to be wrong on this.

That's the problem--- the elderly and otherwise handicapped Americans on Medicare, SSI et cetera are hardly in a position at this stage in their lives to "help themselves".

And most have worked all their lives, making payments to assure them of "helping themselves" when they needed it later in life.

Being a spoiled rich kid, the sleazy Romney doesn't comprehend the needs of the poor elederly and otherwise handicapped.

You are the biggest moron if you believe that garbage.
Obama took a big chunk out of medicare to fund Obamacare but I guess that don't matter.
Romney's not cutting medicare or Social Security, if you think he is you are ignorant.

If that's really true then I'm glad, Jenny.

But speaking of being ignorant I wonder about you just a bit, Jenny, since if you'd have bothered to read my earlier posts in this thread you'd have seen my posts on this subject of Romney's claimed plans for Medicare.

In case you are too ignorant to find them, here's one for starters:

I'm not sure if you're following this discussion elsewhere, on Romney's supposed feelings on where to go with Medicare and SSI, for the elderly and handicapped. Here's a repost, tell me if this seems to be accurate to you, and what the agenda seems to be:

Well, the guy must be doing a pretty good job, since it looks like he may just have enough Electorial College votes to win another four years as President.

It'll be a close one either way, though...

Since a lot of the same people who need Medicare, SSI and so on also desperately need decent health care, I reckon that's pretty logical, Jenny.
