W.W. Grainger Inc. , helped by its continued expansion effort as well as an aggressive share-repurchase plan, reported substantially stronger-than-expected first-quarter earnings Monday.

Wow - the Trib is willingly reporting good economic news?? I thought 'gloom and doom' was the only criteria for story selection for this paper.

If you want to frighten consumers with self-fulfilling prophecy, that's an easy thing to do. Keep reporting every little piece of negative news which can always be found in relative abundance, even in good times, and voila you are in a downward spiral and it won't be solved until the preferred administration is installed.

Look hard in an unbiased publication and you'll find just as much news of encouragement. It's hard to do when the agenda is to reflect poorly on the current, and Republican, administration.

The Trib is not alone in this stupid story profiling.
