Ok GC made it good. The manager took care of the problem and I'm happy with the outcome.

They tell me it's always ok to disassemble a guitar there and check dates. I have done this in the past in one or two stores--even borrowed their tools to take the guitars apart. I'm pretty sure they need to be convinced before hand that someone is a serious buyer first.

Guitar Center is all about the warm and fuzzy sale. Guitar Center will do anything, ANYTHING to get your money. After the sale...

You are on your own. UNLESS, they smell more money down the pike.
Yeah. Today was my last day fucking around with them. I actually canceled an order at GC and payed $50 more for the same item at a different gear shop. Now I can sleep. There was no way in hell that I was going to let them F**k me over again. That was the last time! Goodbye GC.

Did I mention that you suck?

Wow! I have read lot of negative stuff about GC, but to be completely honest, everyone here has got GC wrong.
Guitar Center is a place where (employees) who are musicians, help others either become musicians, or help musicians make music. True, Guitar Center employees might have it hard when it comes to compensation, but the majority of GC employees aren't working there for the money. They work there because we want to help people make music. We care about our customers soo much, that we will do almost anything to make our customers happy. Maybe some of the salesman that you deal with aren't the best examples of GC. Every bunch of apples, has a sour one. The majority of GC employees would do whatever it takes to make sure that you leave with the best service, and with the best gear, because as musicians, we want the best gear, and so should you.
Please, Please, Please understand that GC is a place where we treat customers with the respect that all customers deserve. If you have issues with employees, you need to contact the store manager. The store manager would deal with the situation with the upmost care, and deal with the employee. We need to root out the bad ones in our store, and the customers are the ones that would help us do that. So please don't just leave without talking to a manager, when a situation arises.
GC wants to give you the best customer service!!!!

That's one of the funniest things I've ever read...

Sooooooo retards...what business isn't greedy? What business doesn't want to make money? None of them! Guitar stores have in the past been known for know nothing con-artists equivalent to the used car sales market that still exists. If you didn't like the service at ur local shop...too bad, right? Yup, because if ur lucky maybe 2 ppl work there and they're prly over-priced and don't have knowledge of the entire spectrum of the mainstream musical world we live in. The fucking Clarinet doesn't matter anymore! Wake up people...like it or not, you are an absolute idiot if you are blind, deaf & dumb to the absolute fact that Guitar Center will often be able to save you quite a bit of money! Not to mention the access they have to literally anything you could ever need. Hopefully you don't have kids to instill your ignorance into. I may not like Guitar Center but I'm not a moron. Saving money is saving money. If you are in fact a moron, give someone with a thought process your children and go stick a railroad tie up your ass and think of me and how right I am.
