I requested a refund for a groupon I could not use because vendor could not be reached. It seems like although Groupon says that they will refund you, you will be lucky if they did. It has to be within the seven day window. Their fine print does not say that, but that'll be their reason to decline refund. Good luck

Here is the email I got even if i said that the vendor cannot be reached:
Unfortunately, after 7 days, we aren't able to issue a refund unless there is an unresolvable problem with their service, or they have displayed an act of customer disservice.
If you haven't used this Groupon yet, then we encourage you to try and use it. If you've decided this is something you'd no longer like to use, then we encourage you to give it as a gift. Unless otherwise specified in the Fine Print, Groupons can be given to anyone!
Additionally, if you are unable to use your Groupon before the expiration date, you can still use it for the price you paid, in accordance with Groupon's terms of service.
