I am having exactly the same experience and agree that both Rdeals and Candistech be exposed for their horrible customer service. I ordered the watches on the 31st for Christmas as they advertised and have not receive the watches nor a reply as to where they are.

I did call Rdeals yesterday and finally got through I put my complaint in and also suggested that they read all the complaints online. I told them they have quite a few angry customers at them and at CandisTech. I suggested they do their due dilligence next time before offereing vouchers for a company that may not even be real. She said she would have someone call me regarding this within 1 to 2 days...yeah 1 to 2 days before someone even calls me back. Horrible Customer Service!!!

HAVE A NEED TO FEEL FRUSTRATED, STRESSED OUT OR RIPPED OFF.

Then go ahead & order an item from CanDis Tech or Rdeals.

DO NOT DEAL WITH EITHER CANDIS TECH OR RDEALS.

I purchased Rdeals voucher for walkie talkie watches back in late October & redeemed them on CanDis Tech website Nov 3rd. Numerous e-mails to Candis Tech go unanswered. you can phone their customer service number at any time of the day & it is always busy.

I gave up on trying to contact CanDis Tech & turned to Rdeals for their assistance in having issue resolved & although they reply to e-mails & answer their phone, the response is always " matter has been turned over to internal team for investigation & you will hear back within 48 hours". I never hear back from their "internal team".

After 2 weeks, 16 emails & phone calls to Rdeals I am no closer to receiving the product or having my money refunded. These were to be Xmas presents for grandkids.

Perhaps I'll receive the products or my money back in time for 2013 Xmas!!!

I too purchase a deal voucher through RDeals and then redeemed it for the walkie talkies at CanDisTech. I ordered November 6th and have placed several emails to inquire about the status of this order since I wanted them for Christmas for my children. I also received an email response with a false Canada Post tracking number indicating the order had been shipped. I am still waiting for their reply to my latest email telling them that this is absolutely ridiculous. Calling their number is futile since it is a permanant busy signal....
Now I am complaining through Rogers because I can't get anywhere with the company directly!!!

Same with Me.. Really pisses me off since this was supposed to be a 'Rdeals' which is directly from Rogers, you think they would know who they are promoting with these scams.

To update, I never heard back from Rdeals.ca (as they had promised), nor from Rogers Digital Media, but I did get an email from Candistech with a tracking number for a shipment from Singapore, and lo an behold, it actually arrived. That said, an awful lot of headache for a couple of little toys, and the quality is really *really* poor (we are talking dollar store material). The supposed "retail" price is insane.

Not impressed and now trying to be my money back looks like I've lost out on that as well. What a scam, will not recommend to anyone. Now have to try and replace with something else for my nephews. Bogus

Thank you I will do that. RDeals has apparently escalated my complaint a few times. Then I get no response. Once I contact them again, they escalate it then I receive some emails saying it's being escalated again to the internal dept then some agents say that they can't do anything and I need to contact the merchant. I explain again that the merchant is MIA then I receive a different email asking me to confirm my address and saying the package is shipped. One agent finally confirmed that RDeals only sells the vouchers. I then thanked him for the confirmation and reminded him that was my point; I purchased my voucher through RDeals therefore they should refund me. I am getting nowhere. I have a form through the consumer board. Later today I will post the link so that if people chose, they can also make an official complaint against both RDeals and CanDis Tech. It's laughable that they told RDeals I should receive my package by Christmas, here we are, Dec 31st and no package, no response from RDeals or CanDis Tech.

I agree Kim, RDeals is just as guilty. I've even explained to them that others have been cheated out of money by paying for vouchers through RDeals and never receiving their items from CanDis Tech, all they keep saying is that there is nothing they can do and that CanDis Tech has shipped the item. They give fake tracking numbers etc. I thought RDeals would be more reputable and better with customer service than they are. I'm very disappointed. I am not letting this go at all. As far as I'm concerned, RDeals owes me at the very least $24.00 back.

I've been waiting for this for more than a month now too. It's a scam. They took my money and ran. Onespout won't stand behind these guys. NEVER buy from an online retailer like this. They have a licence to STEAL YOUR MONEY.

i got the same junk from them and apparently it's been in the mail for more than a month now. candistech/rdeals is the same as any of these online dealers that these coupon places work with: a legal way to steal your money. the coupon places won't stand behind them so you have no recourse except to accept it and stop buying from the online guys and the coupon places

Been almost a month since my last comment and I'm still waiting....no walkie talkies yet. I've been emailing RDeals and they keep responding saying that it's being escalated. How many times can they tell you and still nothing actually gets done. I've asked for a refund and they said since it's past the 30 days they may not be able to. WHAT??? It's past the 30 days because we are being told it's on it's way, we're escalating it for you!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!

I actually just got refunded my money from RDeals. I had to get pretty nasty but it worked!! Money had already been put back on my card. I hope they refund everyone's money that's been complaining on here.

What did you do to actually get a refund? We have been trying for weeks now to do the same. We have sent numerous emails but just get the 48 hour response.

Finally after 6 weeks of getting the "your issue has been escalated to the appropriate internal team" response, approximately 30 e-mails to RDeals & a dozen phone calls to RDeals,they have just refunded my money (confirmed credit is on my card).

I had to get nasty in both e-mail & phone calls but seems to have finally paid off. I for one will never purchase with Rdeals again. What a csam!!

For those of you who were able to get refund for the walkie talkie watches, you are much better off with 24 bucks back in your pocket. I did receive my order and what a dissapointment! The watches are flimsy and made out of cheap plastic. You can buy better quality stuff from dollarama these days. To add to my dissapointment, one of the watches had a broken 'mode' button which is needed to set time. I have emailed candistech twice in last two weeks and haven't even received an automated generic acknowledgment.

If you haven't received your order yet, I suggest you push hard for a refund.

As if dealing with CanDis Tech & Rdeals isn't bad enough, as Norm stated the quality is crap.

To make it even worse the $24 vaulation is a total scam. Have a look on E-bay - the same watches are listed there with winning bids in the $5 to $6 range.

I for one will never deal with Candis Tech again & in my opinion, after what RDeals put me through to get a refund - they are just as guilty as CanDis Tech. RDeals e-mail are now automatically sent to my Spam folder & deleted without ever being opened.
