Groupon and Candistech are SCAMMERS! I purchased two groupons on March 23 in the amount of $29 each for two IPHONE 4S battery cases from Candistech. According to the fine print I was not able to redeem my groupons till March 28 which I promptly did. The next thing I receive is an email from Candistech is that my order has been shipped by handing it over to the international shipping company. On April 15 is sent them an email requesting a tracking number to which they promptly replied with a bogus Canada post tracking number. On April 21 I emailed groupon who seemed so concerned and reached out to candistech ( yeah right) and more bullshit stalling emails. I asked groupon for a refund and guess what? They now won't return emails.

SCAMMERS! I have reported the transactions to the RCMP fraud division and the RCMP tech crime unit. I know its not going to get my money back but if enough people report scams they will eventually investigate.

OK, so you had a reply saying they would fix everything and make sure you were happy. Did they give you what you think you should have received?

I bought this deal from RDeals.ca on September 14, 2012

$18 for a Black Sports Watch with Heart Pulse Rate Monitor and Calorie Counter from CanDis Tech ($59.99 value)

It is October 29, 2012 and I still haven't received it. My emails to them have fallen to deaf ears.

Truly frustrated ...bought Walkie talkie watches for my sons and have tried to contact can dis to get my order placed ...emails are not returned and have been trying to all ( seems like a million times) only for the line to be busy. Thinking it is time to go back to rdeals and fight for m money back! Very disappointed and will NEVER recommend this company to anyone....

I'm the same, I put an order in fro the walkie talkie watches and have not received them yet. These were supposed to be a Christmas present. I phone number is always busy and they are not returning my emails. I will also be calling RDeals.

I am in the same boat right now and getting worried. I placed my order Oct 30th. They said 21 to 25 days delievery. It's now that time. They have not responded to my email inquiry, just sent another one. I've been trying to call but the line is always busy. I felt uneasy so I decided to google to see if there were any other complaints and I found this site. My walkie talkie watches were to be a gift for my nephew for Christmas. I've never had a problem with groupon this is the first time I deal with Rdeals

Sent Rdeals an email today with my complaint and haven't heard back from them. And there line is always just a recording saying to email them or try calling back later. The only reason I went with Rdeals was because I got an email from Rogers as an employee appreciation they were going to give me credits towards Rdeals. Now I'm thinking of complaining to Rogers as well. Very disappointed with the Service.

It's funny, I see responses from Representatives from CanDis Tech asking for tracking numbers but I'm in the same boat and nobody from CanDis Tech is responding to any of my emails. The only response I'm seeing is on complaints boards. I ordered children's Walkie Talkie watches on Oct 30th, I have not received them nor any response from several emails I sent to CanDis Tech. Also, the telephone number is always busy no matter what day we call or time. I've seen that complaint on the communication boards here as well. The order I placed is for a Christmas gift. It would be nice to have some sort of response or refund from your company. I feel bad for everybody who placed orders in good faith with CanDis Tech. It would also be nice if CanDis Tech spent less time responding on complaint boards and spent more time actually responding and resolving issues.

I purchased the walkie talkie coupon too but as is the case with all others here, they do not respond to any of my mails. With so many people complaining they definitely seem to be scammers. Takes my trust off those deal sites too. The least they could do no is to refund the money.

I also purchased those walkie talkie watches and have not received them! I got the voucher from Rdeals. It's funny how CanDisTech is quick to respond if your having trouble cashing in your voucher, but won't respond if your having trouble with receiving your purchase!

Kim, I completely understand. I ordered them for my nephew for Christmas on Oct 30th. They were quick to respond to emails when I placed the order but didn't respond to my other emails. Finally after the 5th email, they respond by saying they have a high volume of emails to respond to and that my order was shipped by Canada Post. They didn't answer any of my questions as to when it was shipped or did not provide me with a tracking number so that I can call Canada Post, nothing. Their line is always busy. I see the same complaints from others on this wall where once in awhile, someone from CanDis Tech pipes in and responds but without really giving the answers to the questions or providing the customers with any good confirmations. I wonder how they knew to look on this site in the first place. Perhaps they are starting to be aware that there are many unhappy customers out there. So since it's been over a month now and I have moved, they are saying they can't change the shipping address and are claiming my order was shipped. Good customer service would be to offer to call Canada post to try and sort it out or look concerned about the delay in receiving my order. No such luck. I still have no idea if I will receive it. I have contacted Rdeals and they are looking into it. I will be asking for a refund from Rdeals. Hopefully they have better customer service and will be willing to credit me.

I'm sorry to hear you have had the same issues. It's not fun at all or fair.

I just received an email back from CandisTech saying my item has been shipped and is on it's way. I have little faith. They too did not give me a tracking number or tell me when it was shipped. I think they are just trying to keep delaying us asking for a refund. They probably have a deal with Rdeals that they will only accept refunds within a certain amount of time. I did send Rdeals an email since their number is always a voicemail to try back later and have not heard back. I will definitely not be buying from the site again and am tempted to start sending something out via Facebok to get the word out so more people don't fall prey to these supposedly good deals.

I'm in the same boat, I called Rdeals a few times. My most recent call to them was Dec 5th and I asked them for a refund. They said they were sending the issue up to a supervisor. Meanwhile, I received an email from RDeals suggesting I call the company to ask them to expedite the delivery. If they would have read my email they would have seen that my main complaint was that the telephone number is always busy and they don't respond to emails. They did (Rdeals) find out that I had a tracking number for my shipment and gave me the link of what looks like a shipment company tracking sheet which is more than CanDis Tech has given me but this is the interesting part. CanDis Tech responded to one of my emails in early November saying it was handed over to the shipment company or that it was shipped on Nov 6th. The tracking sheet shows the shipment was in Hong Kong on Nov 30th. I ordered my walkie talkie watches on Oct 30th. As of Dec 6th apparently my shipment is in Singapore heading to Vancouver.

I contacted Rdeals again to ask for the status of my refund. The person on the phone said they would send it up again to a supervisor with a mention that it was also sent on Dec 5th. Basically I'm not getting anywhere with Rdeals or CanDish Tech. I see all these concerns from other customers and am starting to really believe CanDis Tech is some little business out of someone's basement and they just take money and don't send the products and Rdeals seems to be trying to pass the buck to Rdeals. I won't be dealing with either company in the future. I'll also be passing the word out in my workplace and friends and family about my situation and definitly buyer beware. It's really too bad as I've had no problems with Groupon in the past. I thought since Rdeals was affiliated with Rogers (I think) they would be a good company to deal with. I guess I'll have to see if I get my refund from Rdeals. I've also contacted my credit card company and let them know what was going on.

On Nov 7th CanDis Tech said the same to me and low and behold when Rdeals was finally able to get a response from them, they found out that the item really had been shipped from Hong Kong to Shanghai on Nov 30th and that's where it's been since Dec 7th. I ordered mine on Oct 30th. I've asked Rdeals for a refund but that seems to be a nightmare and I'm still waiting for a response.

Sadly I doubt they will. I would try approaching the company you purchased your voucher for this basement company. I'm currently dealing with Rdeals where I bought mine from. My voucher was for $24.00 which is not a large amount but still, this experience has been aweful and an eye opener. I will not deal with CanDis Tech or RDeals ever again. Word of mouth is important so that others don't fall into this trap either.

I'm sorry to hear you've been going through this frustration as well. Hopefully you are able to get some resolution.

Exact same problem here re: RDeals coupon, and no response from CanDisTech.

I would definitely recommend that people call Rdeals to complain about CanDisTech (didn't take more than a few minutes to get connected). The person I spoke to escalated the complaint, for what that's worth. If enough people complain they will have to issue refunds.

I would recommend calling and/or emailing Rogers Digital Media as well, they seem to be the parent company of RDeals:

Without some resolution to this there is absolutely no way I would do anything through RDeals ever again. A deal is only a deal if you get what you pay for and are promised without an epic hassle.
