Haha - But did he actually send you the wine holders or was it just the cigar...
Glad to see he's putting his fraud money to good use though.

As he invited you over he must have given you his address?? If so I think there are a few landlords, bailiffs and trading standards officers who'd like to have it...
Perhaps Brugge, Belgium is a good place for them to start looking?

Well I have to say I am very surprised by all of your problems with the wine holders. I ordered twice from them and I honestly Can say they were amazing. Secondly Barry actually hand delivered my second order himself in his brand new Rolls Royce Phantom. I really can say..... A wonderful guy and a wonderful business.

Luckily it only takes a few seconds to type something on here and write an email to groupon and trading standards rather than taking up vast amounts of my valuable time.
Dealing with this sort of issue for people is in fact my life and job as I work for citizens advice. but thank you for showing your concern.

If any real, genuine people want advice on this please let me know.

Yo dudes. I think you guys that have had problems have been the sad sad victims of the thieving postmen. The amount of these units that were sold by this company and only this many complaints. This equates to less than 0.034% of complaints.
I bought from these guys with no problems. However I also bought lovely delicious chocolates for my wife from a different company and I caught my big fat postman sitting on the street corner eating them with chocolate all over his fat face. He was also reading my weekly subscription of GT that I get delivered.
This leads me to believe lots of postmen help themselves to our goodies all the time.
It's a sad sad world.

Clearly a sad attempt by Mr Rollins to blame the postmen for his lack of responsibility in taking honest, decent people's money for a wine holder they bought last Christmas and not posting it or attempting to refund or send another.
Barry, why not put your time and effort into apologising to your customers and suppliers instead of trying to defend yourself on this forum (with a fake name) where your card is clearly marked. A sad, pathetic excuse for a businessman.
Long runs the fox Barry...

Good Evening fellow moonshiners.
It's coming to Christmas again, yesterday to our surprise we got a knck at the door. My wife answered and it was Barry.
As we bought so much wine and chain holders last year, he took it upon himself to bring us a lovely hamper filled with a bottle of Crisal, Belgian chocolates, Caviar and very nice gifts.
Can't thank him and his company enough. What a guy!

Shav xx

Im not sure what all the fuss is about here, if you buy from groupon and dont get your item, they have to give you a full refund, really people need to spend less time on these websites and pick up the phone. I got my wine chain and for 9 cant say I was dissapointed.

Hello all,
Right lets get down to business, I am aware of Gavin Butterworth (not the most trustworthy of people).
Here is a little scoop.
Follow the link to or enter into the address bar www.mediamoghulagency.com which his sister Sonia reportedly operates, and you'll see that he allegedly has 15 years experience in Business Development.
The brother and sister double act seem to go from one scheme to another, highlighting the lack of talent that they possess in any given field.
I hope that this helps in building a case for watchdog.
No surprise also that the Bolshevic Broadcasting Corporation aired Gavin Butterworth pretending to know what he was talking about.
He has now turned his not considerable talents to acting as extra, acting as a Businessman in a hurry, in a Road Safety Television Advertisement on ITV. No doubt he is a hurry to get away from his debtors.
Best of luck in getting back the monies owed to all of you.
Get a life, for gods sake we where working with GROUPON we did what we could to ensure that everyone got what they ordered. This took much more time than you would expect, maybe you haven't run your own business, when things get busy and I mean 50,000 orders how does a small business deal with this? we did our best and got 49.700 orders out. If you didn't get your 9 magic wine chain then contact the company you bought it from GROUPON they where the company that told us to supply more, we hired an AIRBUS A300 to fly the chains to the UK in time. DO you think we would have done this if we didn't care. GROUPON DESTROYED OUR BUSINESS DUE TO THEIR GREED. PLEASE READ BETWEEN THE LINES AND APPRECIATE CAPITALIST DECADENCE

You need to get a life son. Wise up! What are you doing, your husband/wife/child is in need of your attention, get off the computer and forget about your 9 wine Chain and pay them some much needed attention.

I wish I had been able to see this info on Barry Rollins before he rented my property in Bangor Co Down. Yes full of false promises to pay ...always late ,always one step ahead of the posse ! eventually things got too hot and he left for Belgium with his wife and daughter in July 2012. Needless to say he owes me rent !!! landlords BEWARE.
This is the wee woman who felt it was ok to lease a property that was deemed unfit for purpose,( unfit for human habituation as classified by bangor county council) Her very own builder admitted he was doing a patch up job when he advised her to under-go major constrcution ) I wish wee had only taken the advice of her previous tenant, who advised us to stay well clear of Barbara Kirkland, of 78 Princetown Road as she also tried her best to diddle them out of their deposit. Barbara Kirkland is more than welcome to keep our deposit and I can only hope she puts this towards making her house a more habitable house for potential tenants, but I fear she is not responsible enough to do this. Barbara Kirkland was happy to leave her house in a deplorable state even though she knew a new born child was living in her house., she seemed accepting that damp and bearing fungus was an acceptable living environment. Please be aware of this negligent land lady.

Similiar story and I have wasted hours on the phone. Groupon insisted they'd had no problems with this company and assured me my gift was on the way. Then they said they'd send me a 'missing' form as I have a despatch number. I am ripping and I am just glad that I only paid for one. I hope someone gets to the bottom of this.<quoted text>
Please send me your detail so I can ask GROUPON ton refund you. Please email grapgifts@grapegidts.co.uk

interesting as I just stumbled on this thread.
that's quite a lot of bad pr accumulating for someone operating an honest business.

I am a photographer who covered a wine festival in belfast a few years ago for barry.
pictures were published in the belfast telegraph but my invoice remains unpaid 2 years later.

i will happily send another invoice with interest.

regards. Chris

Have clicked on this site through curiosty, i am so glad i did as it has made me aware that i was not the only one that was taken in with the bottle holder from groupon after lots of emails with no joy and loads of phone calls and no reply.
I was more upset as it was a xmas present .
So the only lesson that comes from this is do not trust grape gifts.
I hope somone sorted it and they got what they desrved
