I purchased a magical wine bottle chain holder. However, I was unable to redeem the voucher as it says the account was no longer active. I tried several attempts to phone Grape Gifts the company but despite holding on for a total of an hour, sending emails and leaving messages, I was unable to get through to anyone. Has anyone had a similiar experience?

I was also offered a free gift of electronic cigarettes when I purchased the deal. Unfortunately I gave my credit card details but forgot about it and the next thing I knew,73 had been taken out of my account, do not, repeat not, accept this deal. As they say, there is no such thing as a free lunch!

Hannah, I ordered 2 bottle chain holders and redeemed only one to ensure that I received it ok and the standard was good. I had to pay another 2for postage and have received nothing. I still have the other voucher to redeem. I have left messages and emailed the company direct and was going to start to speak to Groupon this week. Have you contacted Groupon at all?

I ordered the bottle of wine Novemeber 2011 when the ad appeared on Groupon, 7 emails to grape gifts, 3 to Groupon, holding on for eternity on the phone and now 6th Feb 2012 still no further forward, utter tripe is what Grapegifts is. Groupon obviously want me to receive my package as I have asked twice for a refund only for them to decline, to advise the order is on route. Ill be lucky if I get order by xmas 2012!!!

Hi guys. I ordered a bottle of wine on 11 November 2011 redeeming my Groupon voucher. After numerous emails and messages to grape gifts I too haven't received anything. Groupon are still investigating, as I also asked for a refund. I am very angry about the whole situation as the wine bottle was a Xmas present and wonder what I can do next?

I think i am in the same boat as everyone else on here. Ordered beginning of December and never recieved my wine holder. I have had a reply from Groupon who told me they will contact Grape Gifts and to wait 10 days. I have now waited 14 and still nothing. This company is a joke and i hope it falls on its ar#e

Hi, having had similar problems with Groupon and it's 'business partners' my only advise to you is to report your experiences to the Office of Fair Trading (they are currently investigating Groupon for failing to protect customers from rogue traders) Watchdog are also collecting information and Trading Standards/Consumer Direct seem very interested in Groupons antics.
There have been a series of companies advertising and selling on the Groupon site which have been set up & trading less than 24hours, the products they sell are either delivered late & poor quality or never arrive.
Having waited myself for over 4 months for a refund from Groupon (emailing them daily!) all I can say is be persistent.

Hi there, like most of you I ordered 2 magic wine bottle holders just after Xmas and have also received nothing despite emailing them. Not sure where to go with this one and I'm fuming. Who is ultimately responsible if grape gifts is a bogus company?? I'd say Groupon as the items were originally advertised through them. Will definately contacting Trading Standards on this one. If anyone has any luck please let us all know.

Same issue. Ordered my wine in a box at the beginning of December, still waiting now. Yawn.

Chased Grapegifts, chased replies...

Interested to know where to go next as they surely can't just get away with it?

Groupon has generally been pretty good with me regarding refunds - mainly due to the supplier been unable to fulfil the order.
Regarding Grape Gifts however, I must admit that I was a bit dubious when I purchased this offer on their slightly dodgy looking website. I told myself though that certainly Groupon is aware of this and that they check these guys are genuine sellers prior to advertising these deals to the public.... so, I too went ahead and purchased one of the magical chains - and yes, still waiting for delivery and having no response from grape gifts themselves. They have however happily redeemed my money from Groupon - hence the fact why Groupon are reluctant to be the ones to refund.
Very strange that this Grape Gifts has a specific page, telephone number and email address purely for delivery issues!! As if this was their plan all along! I do hope we all receive our items or our money back!

I was stupid enough to buy FOUR of the wine holders on 6th January. Now fed up contacting Grape Gifts. Have contacted Groupon expressing my doubts as to whether the company actualy exists. What do people mean by having their voucher redeemed? How would I know if it wasnt? Because if it hasnt been redeemed maybe I have a better chance of receiving a refund from Groupon surely?? Am off now to drown my sorrows with the several bottles of wine that were meant to go in the wine holders!!!

I have the same problem as everyone else I ordered the wine gift box at the end of november 2011(still waiting)issue not resolved yet. Although groupon customer service have always got back to me in a reasonable time.

This has put me off buying anything physical that would require posting from groupon as I feel as though their system is too open to abuse.

I still trust groupon for hotels and online services though.

Same experience to all above. I bought the magic wine holder in November 11 for a xmas gift too.I am going to contact Groupon again and mention Trading Standards and Watchdog in the email and see if that spurs them on to do something about this complete farce.I feel they are to blame as it is their responsibility to research their sellers more thoroughly. Not happy!

I'm also having the same issues. Received email from grapegifts saying item was sent next day delivery and would be recieved 21st December. Of course nothing arrived and despite repeated attempts have received no correspondence from grapegifts. Surely groupon have a duty to check out these peope as my experience seems far from an isolated experience.

DO NOT DEAL WITH GRAPE GIFTS.. They cannot be trusted and will not answer phone calls, emails.. GROUPON knows about this and has done so since before christmas but has continued to trade with Grapegifts.. They even ran exactly the same product that most of you are in dispute with after christmas.

Same problem with Grape Gifts, ordered 2 lots of wine in box on 5th November 2011 still haven't received anything or had a refund. They don't answer the phone or email (except for one to say they were dealing with it and not to email again!- this was beginning of Jan 12)

Hi, I had the exact same problem with a GrapeGifts order from Nov 2011 - numerous emails/phone calls to them without a reply.

In the end I basically sent Groupon a strongly worded email telling them that I thought GG was a sham company, and that this was a scam. I told them that a quick Google search found dozens of other people in the same situation.

For others in this situation - email Groupon, demand a refund and say you will go to the Office of Fair Trading if they do not refund your money. I done this on 24th January and money was credited to my credit card account within a week.

Hope this helps anyone in similar situation.

I am also losing my patience!! I ordered mine on the 2nd December and have sent many emails and called Groupon!! Grape Gifts sent me a link to choose if I wanted a refund of the delivery and to still get the item or to not receive it at all. That was on the 31st Jan, still waiting.... I have sent another email today so lets see how much longer this takes!! Joke and what annoys me more is that they say "All orders processed after Christmas are on time" well what about the back log before Christmas surely our orders should be dealt with first!! I'll never buy from them again!!

Hi, I too ordered the wine gift set from GrapeGifts back in November. It is not the 15th february and we have received nothing. GrapeGifts do not respond to emails. I have spent ages hanging on the phone to them, finally leaving a message. They never rang back and the phone call was not cheap. In the end Groupon agreed to refund all but the postage. They have not done so so I am still fighting to get my money back. I have reported Groupon and GrapeGifts to office of fair trade and think the more of us who do this the better. They give customers no backup when the companies do not fulfil their purchases and that should not be allowed. We pay Groupon and expect them to act for us if things go wrong. It is disgusting!
