With her last name, I'm not holding hopes for severe charges to be brought.

Shouldn't the postal service go after her? She would overcharge the postal service then ask for a refund from the postal service. Charge this rotten piece federally for what she has done. I am suprised the crooked labor union hasn't try to defend her actions. I just wonder how many more bad apples are in the city government.

I know you meant County Worker. We all make mistakes maybe just not as big as hers. How dare her steal from the county I live in and pay taxes to. I am sure she was not alone. There are crooks everywhere in that building. I wonder what the sheriffs that checked her in everyday have to say about that. They like to think your a criminal when you walk through there for whatever reason WOW they had one walking right past them everyday for 27 years and I can guarantee you they were laughing and joking with her all the way.Maybe you should have made her take her shoes off. LOL

so when are they going to charge the Spring Garden Township tax collector, for stealing almost $300,000? This has been ongoing for almost a year since they found out about these thefts.

She has been COOPERATING during the investigation. Here is a quote from the article stating that. "Kearney said his office did not ask for bail because Glatfelter has been cooperative during the investigation."

She should be prosecuted to the fullest even with cooperating.

It seems more than one reader has a problem with fact retention. She worked for THE COUNTY not the city. Thanks.

She was released on ror she was cooperating.
Name recognition must be key or who you got close to along the way in the ladder.
County pays a good salary. And she was working right under there nose. I bet you have alot of them in the county, she just was the one right now.
Who was checking her and her job. Arent the commissioners her supervisor. Were they manning the job or other things. I thought the money was there concern for sometime so how did they not know this was going on. Who checks the employees to make sure they are working right and billing people right. Stop all the arguing over dumb stuff at meetings and check the real things going on in your county. Make a policy to have the commissioners pick up the taxes when there employees mess up. They think everyone walking past the,m and working right next to them is clean.
I guess because they believe they are clean till that shoe falls.
Nice job

The thing I think is funny is that is a significant amount of money and to be released on ROR kind of blows my mind. I think some type of bail should have been set. When we work for the county or the state we are actually held to higher standards and I feel she took full advantage of each and every tax paying person in the county and she should be treated like anyone else. Bail set. I bet she got to see a judge immediately, I know she did not have to wait in the waiting room like everyone else so she could be shamed. Look at the mugshot she is smiling. I know they don't let you upload your own photo. Our town is full of perps we need to weed more of them out and get some good honest people in these offices.
