I'll believe it when I see it. The UDO, or whatever they are called, will run the new businesses out town. All there fees and taxes, it won't last long. This town needs some good jobs for the working man that has a family. The working man that speaks English. Our economy is at rock bottom. And no we don't need another dam bank!!!! There's no one left here to put anything in them anyway except the retired transplants. brevard used to be a nice little town, not anymore.

Yea, all them fees and taxes????What?? What new taxes and fees? Seems you are uninformed. I guess "THEY" are at it again, just ruining this place. The UDO is a code, not a "they". If it wasn't for the City doing something in this county nothing would get done and this town would look like Myrtle Beach with neon and signs everywhere. If its getting so bad then leave yourself. And since you are bitching about non-english speakers, good thing we don't export non-english writers! And by the way, I am a native.

I would be very cautious about the "clean up" of the contaminated site. Just look at the post a few lines up, "toxic chemicals found in wells in development near former plant." How cleaned up was the site where the SuperWalmart now sits? Whatever happened with that area near Waynesville that built homes on a former apple orchard, anybody know?
