U.S. treats 1st patient with human embryonic stem cells
U.S. doctors have begun treating the first patient using human embryonic stem cells as part of the first approved study of the controversial treatment, the Geron Corporation said Monday.

As a woman with an incomplete spinal cord injury, I am so glad to see that this treatment is occurring. I realize that there is uncertainty, but I believe it outweighs what some are facing right now. As tough as life is with my incomplete spinal cord injury, it's nothing compared to what some face. I hope this research finds a cure or several avenues for a cure. I know we are all ready.
