After all the trouble of setting up my account now I find out since I have satellite internet I can't purchase tickets. So my opinion of **I Hope** is not good. Do not set up a account if u use a wireless laptop or any device. Funny though I can pay my bills online but can't buy a $1 lottery ticket. And now I find out hardly no one will except the card at local stores. Only wish the lottery would have let me know before I went thru this trouble. DO NOT GET A I HOPE ACCOUNT

Something they forget to tell you about the iHope Card is you can use it at an ATM, but there is a $400 withdrawal limit per day and you can only withdraw $200 at a time and that must include the nearly $3 fee they charge for the withdrawal. So to get $200 out you must do two separate transactions and be charged almost $6. The merchant that issued me the iHope card refused to take it to purchase tickets or anything else. Stated it was too much trouble.
Had to call GA Lottery three times to find all of this out and then they had to transfer me to card services because they had no idea as to why I could not withdraw money from the ATM. GA Lottery needs to be more clear on all the fine print and procedures to use the card. It is not worth the time and hassle. Wish I had never had my winnings placed on the card. It is not as simple and beneficial as they say!

What really stinks is that people who have a serious issue gambling as my partner does; now can gamble (Keno) to their hearts content knowing there's no paper trail with placing winnings on this dumb Hope card. And I happened across this card, along with a dozen Keno tickets by accident....I was promised over & over that the gambling has stopped....Apparently it hasn't. Not quite sure how one can lose thousands of dollars with LOTTO games? Shameful. Guess some still are naive to think spending (her case losing) all ones money will eventually have a huge pay out?! Money to play Lotto but not to pay rent, lovely

Exactly my experience.....not only can it not be used online via satellite, none of the retailers that I have tried, actually know how to use the card. It's a true management bust and one can't help but wonder how much state and lottery money has been wasted. If it worked, it'd be great, but it's a loser.

I have tried to get and set up a IHope card account but had so many problems trying to get it setup. In my mind the Georgia Lottery is having so many problems with their IHOPE cards is they chose the wrong card company. Get rid of Discover and chose Visa or Mastercard and all of these cards issues will be fixed quickly.

I was not told at the retailer that my $500 would go on the I Hope card. I wanted it in cash and they said too bad. I have made several attempts to register the card- online and on the phone- and keep being told they cannot verify my identity. What??? So here I sit with money that should be mine and no access to it. They were happy to take my cash to buy the ticket but do not want to give it to you when you win. Retailers need to put up a sign to tell customers that they give winnings back on the lousy card that does not work instead of cash so you have the option to go elsewhere before it is too late.

wow, just wanted to see reviews on the ihope card, thinking maybe i could use it as an average debit card. never thought i would find so many problems or a rude comment like calling people "loosers". maybe sam should reread colletts post. she said she won $500, not so much a loser to me. did you ever win anything that was deposited on your ihope card sam? and if you have please enlighten us on how you withdrew it or spent it. thanks everyone for the heads up.

I use my card for online purchases and it works fine. I funded the card with my bank card when I first purchased it and I use t at Kroger by swiping I as I would all my other bank cards. Sometimes they give you small amounts of cash as a reward for using the card. However, recently I have had trouble funding the card. No you cannot play online if you have wireless internet. That is a safety feature for your benefit. Wireless transactions can be intercepted and hacked more easily then wireless transactions and land line transactions and scams can be easily tracked to a residence and landline owner, Good luck folks. Have patience. I don't like withdrawal fees but I am sure I can maneuver a way around them if I won.

Well, I just jumped through all the hoops and tried to make a deposit into my Ihope account, and even though they accepted my debit card data, they rejected the deposit. So now, after having read your comments, maybe I should count myself lucky?

Sam, of course, doesn't have that problem and is hanging lose.:)

If you read the terms and conditions it plainly states that there is a withdraw limit of $400.00 a day. I didn't sign up for one, but I did read the conditions just to see.

Got my card a few days ago, applied funds from my paypal account, everything went smoothly.
Played keno for the first time and won 10.00.
I find it easier to use but easier to spend money on lottery being so convenient. But overall i really do like it.

I've been playing online for a year, but just when I wanted to play for the big mega millions with the $4 I have left I got an error message telling me that I am unable to play from mobile phone and I am using my laptop with att internet services. I called ga lottery to report it and they said they would call me back but no response as of 4 days. I hope this doesn't affect the second chance tickets I have online. I will not transfer any more funds to this card ever!!!!!
