Unemployment was under 6% two years ago when odummy took office. It is now 9.4% and will probably go higher when the December numbers are published. So far, he has been the leader of a jobless recovery. His big government policies have been an utter failure.

Odummy and congress have spent most of the last two years on this healtcare abortion of a law. His focus should have been job recovery...he has wasted his time and much of our national treasure on his progressive agenda.

I agree. This is a bit of an awkward moment standing here waiting for words to come out of his mouth, knowing there's no success story.

This is great news: President Obama on the offensive in full campaign mode is exactly what is needed to keep the momentum going into and pass the State of the Union.
This President has done so much since the first day that he stepped into the Oval Office that the American people will have no choice but to reward him with a second term.

I am very happy this morning.

Obama's Aunt Zeituni:'The System Took Advantage Of Me'

President Obama's Aunt Speaks Exclusively With WBZ-TV Sep 21, 2010
BOSTON (WBZ) ―

"If I come as an immigrant, you have the obligation to make me a citizen." Those are the words from 58-year-old Zeituni Onyango of Kenya in a recent exclusive interview with WBZ-TV.

Onyango is the aunt of President Barack Obama. She lived in the United States illegally for years, receiving public assistance in Boston.

'I KNEW I OVERSTAYED'

Aunt Zeituni, as she has come to be known, first surfaced in the public light in 2008, in the final days of the Presidential election. Then-candidate Obama said that he was not against the possible deportation of his aunt. "If she has violated laws, then those laws have to be obeyed," he told CBS's Katie Couric. "We are a nation of laws."

Onyango had violated the law, and she knew it.

"I knew I had overstayed" she told WBZ-TV's Jonathan Elias when the two sat down one-on-one.

ASSIGNED PUBLIC HOUSING

Zeituni Onyango said she came to the United States in 2000 and had every intention of leaving. Then, however, she says she got deathly ill and was hospitalized. When she recovered, she said she was broke and couldn't afford to leave.

For two years Onyango said she lived in a homeless shelter, before she was assigned public housing despite thousands of legal residents also awaiting assistance. "I didn't take any advantage of the system. The system took advantage of me."

"I didn't ask for it; they gave it to me. Ask your system. I didn't create it or vote for it. Go and ask your system," she said unapologetically.

And she's right. The system provided her assistance despite her status as an illegal immigrant.

ORDERD TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY

In 2004 a judge ordered Zeituni Onyango out of the country, but she never left. She stayed, hiding in plain site. In 2005 she attended her nephew's swearing in as the junior Senator of Illinois. In 2008 she was invited to, and traveled to D.C. for President Obama's inauguration.

Obama Administration Is 'Anti-Business': Jack Welch

Published: Thursday, 23 Sep 2010
By: Antonia Oprita
Web Producer, CNBC.com

High unemployment may last for a long time because of the sluggish economy, bad politics and advances in technology, Jack Welch, author of "Straight from the Gut," told CNBC Thursday.

President Barack Obama's administration has an "anti-business" bias which manifests itself through intimidation, trade, taxes and regulation, Welch also said.

"Our businesses across the board look like 1.5-2 percent gross domestic product (advance) businesses," he said.

"The facts are in most businesses there's 20 to 25 percent excess capacity that they can fill in without adding any new people," Welch added.

Technology, which is improving business "exponentially", is also a factor in not adding jobs.

The government should make it easier for companies to invest and expand but instead they are hampering business, according to Welch.

"I still maintain that the economy's been terrible and they have not done things to move the economy forward," he said.

"He's there a month and he vilifies Las Vegas… he kills the hotel business," Welch said.

Soon after he came into office, Obama slammed companies that benefitted from taxpayer money for taking corporate trips to Las Vegas.

Businesspeople said tourism in Nevada took a hit partly because companies decided to cancel trips to Las Vegas following his comment.

"You get all these little things that have consequences beyond 'we can't have corporate jets and fat cats going to Las Vegas,'" Welch said.

If Republicans win in the mid-term November elections it would be better for the economy because it generally is better if the president is of one political color and Congress of another, he added.

"President Bush misbehaved when he had all his boys in the House and the Senate. These guys don't know how to behave," Welch said.

Clinton "was good when he had Newt Gingrich being a pain in the neck at his side." The Obama administration has done some "nice things in education," he said, "but they weren't focused on economy and jobs."

Some countries in Europe don't celebrate their entrepreneurs, "most people don't want to be these people," he said.

"We have a culture that says 'I want to make a lot of money, I want to make good with my money'… that's a hero, not a bum," Welch explained.

Another example of Obama's anti-business stance is the fact that in the auto bailout, bondholders were "smashed to pieces" and "were called speculators," he said.

Earlier in the year, President Obama "ridiculed the Supreme Court in front of the nation" for its decision to remove limits on companies' political donations, according to Welch.

In January when the decision was issued Obama said that "the Supreme Court has given a green light to a new stampede of special interest money in our politics."

Welch also criticized Obama's policy on cancelling the foreign tax credit relief, saying that companies that reinvest their earnings abroad should not be forced to pay tax on that money because they use it to compete in the global economy.

"Stop it, you can't go industry by industry… through intimidation, business by business by business," Welch said.

I'm sure Pres. Obama will be able to find some economic successes to show the public, as soon as he can manage to find the way out of Afghanistan, his birth certificate, and those indictments for the Federal Reserve.

man your quick I was gonna say that, here is how the imbecile treats endangered species,
She had traveled to four states and logged more than 1,000 miles from her home in Montana.

But a female wolf from the Mill Creek pack (known as 314F), met a horrific fate in Colorado -- illegally poisoned by the deadly Compound 1080.

Take action now! Urge the Environmental Protection Agency to ban the use of Compound 1080 and sodium cyanide -- deadly toxins that can kill protected wildlife.

314F's last moments must have been excruciating. Plagued with convulsions, dizziness and unbearable pain, her incredible journey ended in a terrible death on a lonely Colorado road.

But sadly, she is not alone. Because it is one of the most lethal toxins known to humankind, Compound 1080 was once completely banned. Illicit stockpiles still remain -- and it has been used to illegally kill wolves.

Compound 1080 -- so dangerous, it is classified as a chemical weapon in several countries -- is now legally used by the Department of Agriculture's Wildlife Services to kill coyotes in nine states.

so we control guns and let gov hacks play with toxics in the foreest we vacation in. what a ack of democratic nut jigglers.

And you forget unemployment was 7.6% when Reagan took office, but in two years, unemployment soared to 10.8%?

3.2% increase in unempoloyment in JUST TWO YEARS!

I do agree however that jobs focus would have been the right path instead of going after health care first.
