GE Frig Water-in-the-Door Freezes Up

Really, not sure if it's that or that there's somesthing else wrong. But about once a month our water-in-the-door quits. The only way to 'fix' it is to unplug it for about 45 minutes. It then works again. We have no problem with the icemaker. What do you think is causing this?

Bad design and using cheap materials to build. Build for the lowerest cost and then when it break they will sell you another one in 5 years. I don't buy G.E. anymore , had northing but problems with eveything I have bought from them.
