Wachovia is very closely as horrible as Washington Mutual is. It is one of the most crooked and greedy companies I have ever worked for. Ken Thompson is a horrible leader and Wachovia has a horrific management structure. The are getting what they got coming to them. Wait until they have to recast all those pay option arms they acquired in the Golden West Financial merger. I don't see good things for Wachovia at all. I'm getting my 401K out of there!!

Ken has his good old Rocky Mount NC buddies and other southern white boys surrounding him. At least Ed Crutchfield went out of state to bring in talent. Kenny doesn't know how nor wants to do that. It will always be looked at as a southern bank as long as Kenny and his pals continue to mismanage the company. There are lots off other skeletons in this closet.

Nina,
check the data. no Pick a Pay loans have ever recast and with the indices decreasing it doesn't seem likely. the minimum payment rates were never as low as the competitors, life caps at 11.95, and a focus on helping borrowers with loan modifications (which World was constantly critisized by everyone for offering to the clients), a majority of these loans are paid on time.
