I am so sorry for the families of the 2 young people. In a split second, tragedy can happen. My grandsons were driving directly behind them and thankfully were able to avoid the accident. Trying to help both are very distraught and will never be able to forget. God Bless Marc and Katelyn.

Gee, more weekenders/tourists in a fatal crash. What a surprise.
When will the next one on Rte 28 be?

G-mother, I'm glad your kids were not involved.

My wife and I are family friends. I worked with Katelyn to prepare her laptop computer for her art internship. She was a such a sweet and gentle soul. God bless you Katelyn. Life can be cruel.

skippy, that is just moronic.. without us weekenders your area would be a bunch of inbread hicks with NO money.. you have no money up there and weekenders are the only money you get.. so respect the fact that you'd be poor without us "weekenders".

This post is SO F-ing arrogant and dickheaded that it does not even deserve a reply.
Many of the people I know up here are permanently relocated people from South of here. We got the F- out of there so we didn't have to deal with a$$holes like YOU.
Want proof. When I first moved up here after a few months I had someone say to me "Are you really from Long Island? I said "Yeah, why?" He said "You're not an a**hole."

You know what. I do quite a bit of work for part timers. Not by choice, but some of the people I work with get the leads and I like working with them.

I LOVE it when someone has the attitude like our jerk friend "concerned" here. I politely go through all the motions. Let them explain what they want done, etc. Then I get the pleasure of telling them "No than you. I'd rather not work for you." And I leave. I have done this several times and it blows their minds.

Just because they have money they think any and everyone needs them and their money. SO not true. LOL!!

Yes they stopped to help. and stayed till the police etc. arrived. they will never forget it. They got the thumbs up from the people in the suv but there was nothing they could do. it was very upsetting to say the least.

It's a serious problem that the posted Speed Limits in Windham (45 mph on South Street by Ski Windham and 35 mph on Main Street) are ridiculously high. Everyone goes more than the posted speed limit anyway. Compared to other similar towns, these speed limits are 10 to 15 miles per hour over the accepted limit. This must be changed. If so, it might save lives. My heart goes out to the loved ones of those who died.
