Geauga Lake to become a water park only

I really think that this stinks. Cedar Fair said they wanted to restore Geauga Lake to its former family park style and now they are letting us all down. I am so mad and so are many others that I am seriously considering boycotting all cedar fair parks. I love cedar point but to me this says the parent company just lies like every other large corporation.

I totally agree with Dawn and LeRoy.
Cedar Fair only did promise to bring Geagua Lake Park back to its original family atmosphere...and for the most part it did. However, as I posted before they should have promoted it better along with Cedar Point calling it their "sister" park or something to that effect.
But if you ask, Cedar Point revenue was also down this year compared to the past two.
Amusement parks are wonderful places for families to get together and have a family day. But many times its the locals who are going every day or week on season passes. So technically people are not paying the regular admission prices anymore.

It is sad...and I hope that they could keep some of the rides for the kids at least.

And for the roller coaster enthusiasts...I am hoping too that they relocate the Big Dipper because its a wonderful old fashioned wooden roller coaster and even now at my age I can remember every turn and twist of the tracks.
If I had known this was the final year for it, I would have been out there every day riding it.
