The City Council on Monday awarded a contract to Federal Signal Corp. to install tornado-warning sirens throughout Oviedo.

Biggest waste of tax payers monies. This is so assenine. Like a 5 minute to 30 minute warning is going to help. Please. Mother nature will take its course no matter what we do. A siren that cannot be heard all over except for a few with in a 1 mile radius. Man I'll bring you decision makers some airhorns and it would be alot cheaper & just as effective. People wonder why we are in the shape we are in. Look at some of the decisions made by the leaders. That money would have been better off rolling it over and over till the storm hits & then can be used to take care of our people first. If we wait on our leaders you see what happens. They take care of all others first before us true citizens of our home.
