My heart goes out to the victims of this upheaval. I hope all find good jobs, and pay similar to what they had.

I wish the CEO of Republic, Frontier, and heck, any large company would spend a month in the shoes of these folks...so they could understand how their decision making affects the common folk.

We're just hoping for a couple good blizzards that shut down the Denver and Milwaukee call centers before December 13. Republic might just realize then that they need a call center that is not affected by winter precipitation.

I agree with #2 and I might add... now that they no longer have service to El Paso our air port could handle their planes just fine.
I'll bet Republic is going to pay the other call center's employees more than they could have had ours for!
Frontier Airlines Las Cruces Call Center was my kid's extended family... may the Lord grant all of you good health and many Blessings.

Jobs are ALWAYS eliminated in a merger. Under the SWA deal, 90% of the jobs would have been eliminated, period. Many fewer will lose their jobs under the Republic buyout. A lot of these folks will be able to work in other parts of the Frontier/Republic system according to the press release.

Republic came and saw the people hired here and knew they had to shut down... All Las Cruces has worked there and management would hire anyone off the street. The damn good employees making the company some $ was let go over a petty point system. I hope management likes to sell magazines at an outbound call center. For the rest of the employees I wish you all luck this is not your fault but the fault of mis-management.

i do agree with ex-frontier employees comment. the petty point system was ridiculous, but again i don't think petty is the word for it. management there really sucked. they should have been the first too go. they should have been gone a long time ago. they didn't and don't care about their employees, as long as they are comfortable sitting behind their computers, reading their emails,(jokes, etc) bidding on ebay they just don't care. oh sandy, oh liz, where are they? oh they must be shopping at walmart, oh well c'ya at peter piper, maybe there is a manager position OG. to you current frontier employees we are awesome and let's thank frontier management for giving us this opportunity to pass our knowledge and our skills to somebody else. we are simply the best
