I have banked at First Republic for a long time. They are, in my opinion, the antithesis of B of A. If they are 'absorbed' and cease to exist, I will under no condition leave my money at B of A. If B of A was smart, they would leave First Republic alone as a 'boutique' bank. I dont believe they will keep the customer base if they dont.

I 100% agree with you Chana. I have 7 accounts with FRB. If B of A acquires it and does not keep the brand I'm taking my money elsewhere.
