Company to build $34M distribution center in Manchester Township

I realize people think this will bring jobs and add to the tax base, but there is no promise of employment - only a large empty building which could stand vacant for years. As for the taxes, there are no taxes on the building or for the company until it is occupied by a company (I was at the meeting and this was said there and is not conjecture on my part). As the other gentleman mentioned, if there are additional deals in place, there may not be any taxes collected for years.

I commend the residents of the neighborhood - those that actually live where the warehouse is to be built - for trying to exercise their democratic rights in a county that increasingly favors business concerns over its citizens.
