She didn't just buy a house she bought a $417,000 5,200 sq. ft. home on a golf course through Fannie Mae, while retaining her "farmland" that has collected $225,000 in taxpayer subsidies. The house is being paid for by the Medicaid payments hubby gets for attempting to convert homo's to hetro's. She's against Socialist programs like taxpayer subsidies handouts, Medicaid and Fannie Mae but has no problem using them. I'm absolutely dumbfounded that her supporters continue to protect her. I'm probably on a list but after I cast my vote, I hold the politician accountable via e-mail and phone calls, I'll give their office/title due respect but I have no friends in Washington.

You want truth about the dealings of Fannie Mae, after reading your comment it's clear you've never dealt with Fannie Mae. I have and in the simple process of trying to buy one of these foreclosures we faced gross incompetence. You want a name, try Brian Alcorn. Mr Alcorn has no business in the mortgage business, he has no idea what title companys require before they will insure property. Without insurance from title companys no bank will provide a loan. Without loans very few of these foreclosed properties could be bought. Here's one for you, Mr. Alcorn actually asked for the survey done by a certified surveyor to be certified. He doesn't even know any survey provided by a certified surveyor is certified, it can't be recorded by the county or state unless the surveyor is certified. This is only the last stupid demand he has made, there have been several. These stupid request have kept us homeless through the holidays and in fact should have been to closing a month ago. Maybe some of Fannie Mae's employee's are corrupt, I can't say because I don't know but I doubt the incompetence we have suffered from dealing with Brian Alcorn stops with him. I have no idea if we will ever own this property which has had the loan approved since November but I can assure you I will never have any dealing with Fannie Mae again. The more rocks that get over turned the more incompetence will be found, this is typical of most government business that hire for reason's other than the most qualified and that practice appears to be manditory.

"Unlike Obama, Romney took office during an economic uptick. Massachusetts had a net job growth of 1.4 percent under Romney. However, that was far slower growth than the national average of 5.3 percent. As Romney’s opponents have frequently, and correctly, noted, Massachusetts ranked 47th in job growth over the entirety of Romney’s term. The only states that did worse: Louisiana, Michigan and Ohio."

The subprime crisis and (subsequent) credit crunch originated at the Federal Reserve. The Fed triggered a speculative frenzy by lowering interest rates below the rate of inflation for over 31 months between 2002 and 2004. Trillions of dollars were fed into the banking system creating the biggest equity bubble in history. Now that the housing bubble is crashing to earth — and trillions of dollars in shaky bonds are headed for the landfill — the Fed is trying to distance itself from any responsibility. But their fingerprints are everywhere. The plan was authored and executed by the Fed and that’s where the blame lies.
There was a time where almost anyone could get approved for a house. I knew someone who paid interest only for the first three years. Then boom the adjustable rate mortgage came to town. Additionally, they let these naive young, married couples also take out a line of credit based on their house. Last, they could roll all their credit card debt into their house/mortgage payment.

I gave them the advice to sell when the houses in the neighborhood were selling for over $400,000, but they were greedy and wanted it to get to $500,000. Instead, it all crashed down and their home became worth less than what they paid for it.

Young people (20s) don't seem to understand finances. There's no such thing as a free lunch or free ride.

It looks like no one here has enough time/money to investigate these things or even to watch simple movies. Some got exceedingly rich and spread a lot of misery to others.
