Having had a career with American Airlines I can assure you they will now cancel a flight even if there is only a low percentage chance of a long delay on the tarmac to avoid such a fine.

JET BLUE needs a talking too also!...More so the AIRPORTS themselves...NOTE:

Hundreds of passengers sat for hours on planes at Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, on Oct. 29 while pilots begged for help unloading them. Airports should face fines if they canít respond, Kate Hanni, a passenger-rights advocate, said in an interview.

Most commercial airports donít have equipment or personnel to move aircraft on the ground, said Richard Marchi, a former airport operations manager at Bostonís Logan International.

Aiports without tow rucks??Under staffed?..Seems to be the facts!

The current 3 hour rule ,as to sitting on the tarmac is in effect.

Soon its Thanksgiving ,and followed by spring break...fares SKYROCKETING,due in great part to OBAMAS lack of GETTING MORE OIL!..

Further the SKILL LEVEL at the FAA declining.'the grey beards gone now,Replaced by inferior personnel...affirmative actions, quotas, has staffed increasing NNIMBKOOPOOPS in charge.

The Towers, control towers are one second from a collision.
More so on the ground.
Weather will always be the FINIAL DECIDER!

The Currant FAA still is a political tool for the party in charge and not for the American People.

The only positive action years ago,was then Pres.Reagen...he Would not be controlled by the controllers..and FIRED THE BASTARDS.

Air service then improved..until....NUMBNUTS is on the scene now!!..High fuel,LOONY regulations, air fares expensive,..all due to this Economy.......there was a time only wealthy flew....seems we are going back to that time!
