What a shame..... there were only about 15 or so in flying condition left in the world. There are as many as a couple hundred airframes in museums and such but many cannot be put into flyable status,so we have lost another piece of history.

They made thousands but almost 1/2 were shot down during the war. After the war some were given to "allies" for their new air forces,some were used as tow craft for gunnery practice and the rest were mothballed/scrapped at an air base outside Tucson,AZ.
