You would think that everyone would have been back at least the height of the smokestack in all directions so if it fell the wrong way no one would have had to run.

You know how they say art imitates life... so too this misfortune... the point at which the circumstances overcome the central motive, introducing the close or conclusion of life;

If any one incident could sum up my life then this would have to be it. Apparent "sure things" going 180 degrees from expected. From mishap to mishap.

I am sure that there are many individuals whose life story could also be summed up by this smokestack fiasco.

This will always be known as the great catastrophe of the Mad River smokestack at Springfield
