No, Met-Ed has your bills divided into
3 sections so they can raise the rate on
3 different sections instead of one.
Met-ed = crooks.

This is wrong. Yhe new customers should have to pay higher rates to provide for ther additional costs incurred to provide energy to them. The old customers did nothing to deserve a rate increase. It is wrong to pass the costs on to every customer for new customers. I am conserving and use less energy that I used in 2007. I know other persons who are doing ths same. Now we are being rewarded for conservation by receiving a high bill because on new customers.
When is the PUC going to do it's job?
When are the politicians going to represnt their constituents?

you can't use the excuse that there are more customers...

more customers mean more electric sold and more revenue collection on all three billing sections.

PUC doing it's job? Politicians doing
their job?
You know as well as I do, our politicians
are crooked, and work for big business.
Not to mention majority of them are
"educated" and it IS their fault we are
in the mess we are in. GREED!

LOL....1 gal. gasoline-$2.57, 1 lb. grapes from Chile-$1.99, 1 pack cigs,$3.65, 1 day admission to Hot Rod Show-$14, cable/satellite tv-(?), mall parking lots lit up like Xmas Trees-(?), 1 movie ticket-(?)...and on and on. I realize one does not have to take advantage of any of the aforementioned items. ELECTRICITY and all the convenience that come with it-like $3.00 per DAY. If you are paying more than that, you are living in much too big of a castle, shame on you for bitching. Make it a point to turn off excess lights, smaller energy saving bulbs, cut back on air-conditioning (keep off), turn off heat to pool/hot tub, turn off computer when not in use, get rid of one of your four freezers/refrigerators, turn off night spotlights on your shrubbery and on and on... Discontinue useless cell phone/blackberry/ipod which cost you more than electricity.
LOL, some dude loses electricity for 3 or 4 days, LOL, where do you live, Bagdad? Electricity is the best deal in town...don't tell PUC or Met Ed that. In a storm, did you ever turn light switch on and nothing happens. Pretty convenient little service ain't it. Conserve baby, with the bottom line, savings on electricity bill. Try it sometime. Almost forgot, either food or medicine, guess now it will be electricity...no sympathy here.

Clearly you have absolutely no idea how the electric utility system works. More customers means more congestion on the grid (just like congestion on the highway) which increases the price to transmit the electricity to your home. When one considers how many things must happen for the utility company to turn coal or other fuel into electricity it boggles the mind. I suggest you do some research into how the system works ( pjm.com is a great resource to see how complicated this stuff really is). Also keep in mind we have a rate cap expiring soon with an increase of around 30%. Again, this is no surprise as the price of coal has increase quite a bit since the rate cap was placed years ago.

i conserve electricity on a daily basis. but, would like to be able to make food for my children in the morning. hard to do when my elctric lighted gas stove wont start.. cant give my children baths because cant even see in the bathroom..not to mention the hot water heater wont kick on to heat the water.. no electricity. the list goes on..

my point was this. i get and PAY for spotty service at BEST. and now i will pay more for such shoddy service.

Precisely where do you live. We're no longer in the 1940's when the electric shut down with the first lightning bolt. Your story seems extremely preposterous, to say the least.

Rant, rant, rant and make no sense what-so-ever. Yea, I know why the blacks never won the big lottery. You can't trade food stamps for lottery tickets. Fixed income...you can't wait until you reach 60 years of age to prepare for retirement...."THOSE PEOPLE GOING TO DO? all most all of them people can not eat now",...last time I was at Wal-Mart food check out line, most all of them people looked like they ate way, way too much. Three shopping carts a piece stacked to the top with the best. And on our dime with the food stamps.

How about they pay us for power outages that cause us disruptions in our lives , and how about they send postage paid return envelopes with their monthly bills . Met-ed is chomping at the bit for the rate caps to come off next year better start saving money now for that first big electric bill or stock up on candles and flashlight batteries .Its business as usual the rich get richer and the poor get it up their behinds . We all are paying now and will be paying much more later . We all get raped by the oil companies so now the electric companies want to get in on the gang bang rape of our wallets !!
