"It was like the end of the world..." Come on now, the only reason things like this attract the media in the first place is 'cause it's dangerous enough something MIGHT go wrong. Who'd watch NASCAR if there were no wrecks?

I like this line "it was like the end of the world". That one made me laugh. Wish I could have been there.

Should have had the lines temp. removed from the area in case something went wrong. Maybe it cost to much $$$ to do it. Trying to save some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

They should have tied a rope to it, and had someone pull in the direction they wanted it to fall. So basic even a Caveman could have done it.

Notice they stood directly under the power lines that the stack could have/did fall on, Makes you wonder if they were offered the option to stand in a spot that was expected to be clear, which would have been where the thing landed. And how do these people know what the end of the world seems like? Sounds like an all around group of intellignet people running and observing this thing. I agree the little girl seems to be the true genious here.

the video is scary. those lines must have been powered down. Cause with all those flying all over, a lot more bad could've happened. Thankfully nobody got hurt.

hmmmm...'FirstEnergy'? Aren't they the same ugly energy outfit that was caught door to door soliciting high priced gas rates to unsuspecting, undereducated consumers?
If so.... says plenty on this morass. Seems they might need to recheck the creds of whomever the demolition project 'supervisor' is (was?). Obviously, less than stellar.....
