Beaver nuclear drill reveals deep flaws
An emergency preparedness exercise at FirstEnergy's Beaver Valley nuclear power station in Shippingport in April found communications, safety and operational deficiencies by Ohio and West Virginia emergency agencies during the staged disaster.

This again shows that the value of nuclear power goes far beyond just savig lives while generating electricity. Locales without nuclear power plants don't have regular, extensive evuated emergency exercises. So, absent this nuclear drill, the problems with the response agencies would not have been discovered.
