Sallie has used the office for years for her personal reasons and so have others there. Maybe the taxpayers of Kanawha County can get a break from this abuse and not have to pay all of these taxes for some officials to abuse it.

I personally think the whole office should be cleaned out, starting with the one who runs a flower shop. I could stick one finger, you know where and out do the appraisers.

You're really going to go there? Sounds like you pissed the wrong person of. So be it, pay your taxes or lose your property. Simple as that. And, "the one who runs the flower shop" has enough experience and knowledge to be the assessor. Before you point fingers, know you're facts, idiot.

The Assisssors Office has long been used for the cast-offs of the Dem. Party. Using the office for political gain? Been going on for years and the Kan. Co. Commissioners have known about it, but of course, has done nothing to help this corrupt bunch of people - yes, and we, the tax-payers are paying their wages. Sally isn't the first, but let us just ask, does she really know the job? Steve really knows it and should be the Assessor, but he has personal issues and lots of other work going on the side, but personally lots believe he should be the Assessor. Why does Sally not take her husband along with her as she campaigns? Does he not like the political world? Or is there other reasons? What is his background?

Just to be blunt but Forrest Carpet doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to the Assessor's office. Badgering the office and false accusations are not going to help Mr. Carpet win the election. Responding to his personal letters sent to employees starting the rumors of firing several staff members, is complete buckshot. Carper's son works for Tyler technologies and I'm sure majority of the field appraisers would be replaced by outside sources. Would Sallie be the better candidate? Of course, she has 28 years experience. I'd like to emphasize that when the office was monitored by the State tax department, Kanawha County has the best appraisers in the state. Steve would make the ultimate assessor but like someone said, he has far too much going on to worry about an elected position.

I'm wondering if Assessor Robinson collected monies or sued the gentleman who made the false accusations against her. There was no merit to this complaint as I checked with the ethics it was dismissed. The ethics forms state you can be reimbursed legal fees when the complaint is found to be false. I didn't see anything in the paper about it being dismissed either.

I think Sally has bigger things to worry about. Her own son is going around telling people she is embezzling from her office.

Who are you trying to convince...Sally's son(s) couldn't spell embezzlement, more less recognize it.

The truth is the truth. The office is and has been used for personal gain for years. As for Sallys experience lol she cant spell appraisal much less appraise property. The office will never be corrected until someone that is qualified to appraise property becomes assessor.
That person is not the person that is in there now.

Sallie hires people as pay backs for sign holding. Diane Lucas was rehired by Sallie after being fired for falsification of her families records and she held a sign so Sallie rehired (USED PHYLLIS TO DO IT) her and promoted her to a supervisor over the area she was fired from. All because she owed her. That place is a JOKE.
