the debate on free press in Ethiopia should first start from the recognition of the current reality. In otherwards
-one has first to apprecaite there is free pres in ethiopia . Needeless to mention , one could refer to reporter, Forune, capital etc.
- the healthy developement of press and press freedom neednot compromis the aspiration of the people to live in harmony and peace. I guess the law prohabits inciting ethinic or religious hatred .
- it is also relvant to see that the racist press should not be tolerated
I am sure this argumeents will be received with deaf ear because the debat on this is hajacked by elites or thier aspiranst of old establsihemenet . It is a one party debate and a new outlook is often rejected .
to conculde free press in ethiopiabelongs to Ethiopians not to any one in the world . But this does not mean we are living somewhere in mars , we need to hear opinions . opnions must be verfied so that we could build trust
trust but verify
