Time Limit on Facebook Restrictions

Over a year ago, when I first started a Facebook account, I was banned from posting video due to my uploading copyrighted video from YouTube. At the time, I didn't really care that much. But now I have a baby with footage that my family wants to see, and lessons that I've taught that I would like to upload, etc. Since so much time has gone by, is it possible to have this privilege reinstated if I promise never to upload copyrighted material again? Or am I banned from uploading any videos on FB forever and ever? Is there a way to contact FB to discuss the issue verbally? I get no response on their FB message board/troubleshooter...
