Very humble and gracious of American auto companies to help out these victims.

I've driven GM for years, consider myself a supporter of sorts. I thought it was a bit cheesy for GM to donate $50,000 through a fund while Ford gave $400,000. GM had the assembly plant in OKC for years and even had a tornado in 2003 hit the plant. I would have thought they would have greater sensitivity to the area.

Was always told that charity begins at home.
Helping Others is a lofty goal but with so much real need at home and the scale of Detroit's problems requires everyone in the community pulling on the oars to propel the city forward.
Fix Detroit problems first then focus on the needs of others.

You clearly are a lonely person with no heart. You also don't understand the natural compassion of man for his fellow citizens. Even the poorest nations frequently donate token resources to disaster victims. Fortunately, you are a true minority.
