Ford hopes to beef up sagging Lincoln sales as Mercury vanishes | The Columbus Dispatch
#1 Feb 19, 2011
It is of no surprise that Lincoln sales have plumeted in the last few years. Unlike Cadillac, Lincolns have to ties to their cars of the past, Cadillacs are unmiskanely Cadillacs. After going to the Washington D.C. auto show and seeing their unstylish, boring, and in some cases totally ugly desings inside and out, I think Lincoln should disappear and let Cadillacs continue as America's luxury dealer. Even Buick has the message right with their LaCrosse, Regal, and even the upcoming Verano 2012. Perhaps a re-surgance of Then Mark V type design cues (absent the opera windows and tire kit) the upright grille and rear fenders are iconic of Lincolns. Take in mind the new MKS, looks nothing like a Lincoln and is simply a dressed up Taurus (YUKK). I will look to GM for my luxury american vehicle and not even considering a Lincoln. Pls share my post with Ford Motor Company.
