Dearborn is making preps for shutting down Sharonville in 2009. I personally processed the paperwork. It is not to be made public until after Christmas to spare emotional trauma. By mid summer next year only a skeleton crew will remain. By next Christmas the plant will be gutted. I could lose my job by making this public. I do not care. I have another job and will tell Ford to stick this one soon.

Don't know, don't care, as long as I am out of that hellhole. My best guess: Same as the old Fairfax Plant - sold to the highest bidder, and in a couple years will be a shopping center/industrial park/office complex?

Well....It was only a matter of time. When you pay people thirty dollars an hour to clean toilets....What do you expect?

How about us "lower people" that cant afford to get higher education? Us "lower people" working the unthinkable jobs are what keeps the work in the US. What I see is plenty of "lower people" willing to do the SAME job as the union workers but for much lower price. Us "lower people" dont have a chance to prove ourself or speak our mind because of the unions screaming strike. What I say us this, "STRIKE". If that is what you want to do

instead of EARNING your pay, then by all means,

strike, get out of my way and I WILL go inside and work for the measly $18 that the unions are refusing. I would be more than happy as a "lower person" to take ANY job in Ford for the lowest pay rate the unions was offered. If I as a "lower person" got offered $13 an hour to do the SAME job the union guy is doing, I would take it in a heart beat. These unions now a days are pushing these companies to outsource. Its not us "lower people". Us "lower people" are the ones that could keep it here. Start thinking about the future of America instead of your own if you wish to keep the jobs in the USA. Stop being so selfish and self centered and work for your pay. Then and only then will the jobs stay in America. I used to hear this on talk radio every morning by Earl Pitts as I was driving to work, "WAKE UP AMERICA". We as "lower people" and "Unions" need to wake up and smell the shit we have left on the floor. We need to clean it up as a TEAM and work for our money. America has become nothing but a lazy workforce. We have expected to get more money for less work for far too long. We need to WAKE UP AMERICA and start making America the place it used to be.
WAKE UP AMERICA,
RzrsEdge
That is about the stupidest thing I ever heard your not even worth 13 a hour, you need to go to burgerking and earn you dumb ass

Neither. Get a sustainable job in another industry, and your family will thank you for it. What good is it to escape to another Ford plant. For how long? Until the ax falls and Ford is history. How low is the stock, Mama? She said its a buck seventy and dropping. I said how low is the stock, Papa? He said its a buck seventy and droppin'

This is just a rumor, but it may come true. It's time for the UAW to realize what they are doing to the American companies - basically drive them to bancruptcy and out of the country.
It's good to see that upper managment is not going to put up with the stupidity of the UAW workers. Shut down plants and start building them in another country. Good for Amearica.
Good to know that we are the stupid uaw workers. How do you spell America Rick?

The facts I have do not support rumors that the Sharonville plant will be closing. I work for one of the OEMs that supply machine tools for Sharonville. I have machines sitting right in front of me due to ship next week. There are 5 more being built after that. Ford is also coming up with $$$ to pay for them. True that Ford has been doing some restructuring and the closing of Ford's Batavia plant is also true. Sharonville will remain open for a good long time.

A friend of mine has a Mustang drag car. He says it stands for: First On Race Day.

Chrysler LLC is a different story....

Gee, I guess you got that wrong, eh dickweed?
New product announced today, 6R140 nearing Job 1, gearing for 6F and 6FM ramping up, 40 employees called back last two weeks...which Christmas were you talking about, which summer will there be only a skeketon crew left and when are they gonna gut the plant? After they get done installing the few hundred machines setting on the floor waiting to be installed?

Ford will be number one, and I have inside information. When the only American car company not owned by the goverment becomes # one, Ford promised to give all the credit to Obama.

Yes I agree there are people at sharonville that do absolutely nothing.I blame the company and the union.I have asked the union to help, they said I am not ever going to tell another union brother or sister to work. The company will not make them work either. Some people at Ford have not worked since the day they hired in.Management are all afraid of some people.

If it can be built in Mexico or South America for less, why not? It makes good business sense.

Obviously you are Not a union worker. Ford brings in outsiders because they are cheeper, and for NO other reason.
