Speaking of jobs, folks should check out the movie "Inside Job" about the meltdown if you want to get an interesting look at what Bernanke is like. He kind of comes off as a well-meaning but clueless doof in the documentary.

It was all about jobs two years ago. We wasted two years due to Obummer touring the daily shows, focusing on redistributing the wealth, and fighting to pass a healthcare reform that nobody wanted as it was written.

Nothing like stuffed suits sitting around a table of overstated self-importance discussing how great the economy is and tearing their rotator cuffs by patty themselves on their back so vigorously. Bernanke has ruined the value of the dollar with the "QE1 and 2". China and Russia are so disgusted with Bernanke that they have stop using the dollar to trade with each other.

The double "Qs" are being used so the stock market can be propped up, thus creating another bubble. The value of the dollar is ruined and will never recover.

Yes, IBM said they are going to hire thousands of people, thousands of people around the world. The around the world is a red herring, around the world means, not the United States.

Just look at the last two years, health-care premiums are rising, unemployment is rising and shows no signs of receding, GM is owned by China and the unions, home foreclosures continues at breakneck speed and the overly groomed Bernanke fails to see that Rome is burning.

Audit the FED! http://www.auditthefed.com/
End the FED!

They are the main reason we are in the mess. Americans are in for high inflation thanks to these Banksters.

Educate yourself on what the FED is and what their real goals are. They are not working for the best interests of the American people.

Now that the fed and other Obama bots like tax cheat Tim and the marxist lost the house they are now saying it is about jobs.

What the mean is they want to kill more jobs and make us the full blown slaves of China.

Most of our economy (ie 2/3) is based on consumer spending. Consumers need to be confident they will have a job in order to buy a new Ford car/truck. Our people, the regular working person needs to be confident of their state and national leaders. We are not confident in our leaders. We do not know if our taxes will go up with the expiration of the Bush tax cuts at the end of this year. We don't know how much the new health care bill is going to cost. We don't trust our leaders.

It's time that government get out of the way, let the taxpayers keep the money they have earned, get rid of the regulations, and watch the economy grow. The figure of $2 Trillion has been tossed around that is waiting on the sidelines of business to invest in the economy. These business leaders are also waiting for the right leadership to lead confidently. Did the change on November 2, 2010 get the attention of the FED? Are they listening?

Where are the leaders that will tell the truth and get the government off the back of the taxpayers??? We currently do not have these leaders!

Check out Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theory on TruTV on the Wall Street crash. Of course there might be flaws, but there is information that people need to know in it...

It's kind of hard to do that when you can't get a small business loan, and the republicans keep blocking Obama's attempts to institute a loan program for small businesess.

If I hear one more idiotic Liberal say that Republicans ship jobs overseas I am going to puke. The reason companies send manufacturing jobs overseas is because of high labor cost fueled by unions and pensions, high taxes, environmental restrictions and costs associated with that....all the work of Liberals and Progressives. And then when they make it impossible for U.S. companies to compete and are forced to manufacture in other places, Liberals blame their "greed", as if those companies had to operate as charities.

it is hilarous to read Palmisano from IBM saying he will hire tens of thousand people from "all over the world" Bernake is the Chairman of the US Federal REserve Bank, not the emperor of the world. Everyone at IBM knows that Sam will fire US workers and hire in India- what a lying SOB he is..

Kasich and his new ODOT appointee say we need to build more highways, so companies like FedEx won't leave. Seriously, it was in the news yesterday.

Come up with your own capital...taxpayers have no obligation to fund small businesses. Entrepeneurs find solutions to problems. Only whiners throw 'republicans blocking obama' crap.

I agree. Read the book Creature on Jekyll Island for background information on the Federal Reserve and why it is neither Federal nor does it have a Reserve...and needs to be abolished.

Economists and politicians started using the phrase "jobless recovery" at least a year ago.
The term is absurd, of course - and a classic oxymoron. A recovery without jobs is no recovery.
Another way of looking at it is that Wall Street is recovering, but Main Street isn't. Main Street continues to die on the vine. The problem is that there are no jobs to bring back on line. The politicians and their corporate pals have sent all the good jobs to China, India, Taiwan, etc. Over 40,000 factories closed in the U.S. in the last decade. Those jobs are gone. People who used to make $15 or $20 or $30 an hour are now making $7 to $10 and hour (or having their hours cut in half). And worst of all, every time we buy cheap crap and electronics made in those countries - and sold in big box stores - we make things worse. The Federal Reserve knows exactly what's happening because they're responsible for the carnage - and they did it all in secret. Congress needs to force the FR to open it's books so we can all "follow the money"

Congress will never mess with the Federal Reserve. Too bad Wikileaks doesn't have a source inside the Fed. That's the only way we'll ever find out what really goes on there.

We need real jobs. Manufacturing jobs are the only hope. Not gambling casinos, service jobs, or paper shuffling. Americans' jobs have been stolen by low priced foreign labor with the blessings of the multinational corporations and a treacherous congress. Interestingly, when the africans were kidnapped and held as cheap labor (aka slaves) it was eventually considered immoral and outlawed. But when done by proxy to impoverished foreigners it is considered "free trade". Bring our jobs back to America.

There is only one way to end this depression, and that is to abort the marxist experiment, preferably before AlQaeda, Iran or North Korea destroy us. The condescending quisling in the White House needs to be put on a plane and sent back to whatever rain forest or sand dune will give him a birth certificate.
