Dec 24, 2007 Full story: www.bodyshopzone.com 1,912

Don’t put pressure on Tundra, the steel is weak. CR drops the Tundra to “not recommended.” Save it for a load of cotton candy just to be on the safe side.

I have a 2000 Ram 4X4 PU that I have been driving for 13 years with 250,000+ miles on it. It's still running very good and is just now starting to show the wear. Even though I live in an area where salt is applied to the roads every winter the Ram is only showing some minimal rust. It gets used hard on and off road and has never let me down. I put 340,000+ miles on a Jeep Cherokee (also a Crysler product) before the Ram, it never let me down either. I've never even considered buying a Japanese vehicle and probably never will. When it's time to buy a new truck it will most likely be another Dodge.

No need to get belligerent there Avocado. I had the tranny rebuilt at about 160,000 miles. That's the only major repair I've had to do. The rest has all been normal maintenance like belts filters, tune-ups, tires etc. If it had been nickle and diming me I'd have gotten rid of it. I don't have a Hemi either, not that I wouldn't want one, but they didn't offer it at the time. It's a 5.2 Magnum, the only modifications are a cold air intake and aftermarket tuning. The only complaint I've ever had was wishing the gas mileage was better, I get about 14 MPG. The truth is it's been a great truck....what can I say? Keep laughing while I drive it for another 100,000 miles or so. You drive what you like, I'll drive what works. Rice is for dinner and weddings......not trucks. ROTFLMAO!!!

Yes Mr. Root, you do scream foul.
A lot.
You scream foul every time you blame others for your own misdeeds.
Which is often.
But we understand why.
A genetic developmental handicap.
Runs in the family we understand.

Mr. Root accuses Toyota of "crying foul", but he fails to mention the link he added also says GM, Ford, and Chrysler are doing the same.
How bizarre is that?

Oh well, what can we expect from someone with a developmental issue?

You probably didn’t read the article. Toyota followed the SAE standards and GM, Ford, Chrysler did not. In fact GM,F,C are doing the opposite. Now Toyota is stuck with the marketing dollars they have allocated.

This is a perfect example of shooting from the hip and one of the major driving factors that result in poor conversations. For some reason you’re always trying to blame somebody for something. It’s very hard to have an intelligent conversation with someone like that.

Try again Mr.Root.
No matter how you try to spin your link, it shows you up.
GM,Ford, and Chrysler have also ignored the edict.
Try and weasel out of that one.

Only Toyota followed the Govt. Standard for towing capacity, and the Big Three aren't.
So Toyota objects to being the only one doing what they're required to do, and somehow Mr.Root tries to convince us that Toyota is the bad guy?

Is that twisted logic, or what?
If it quacks like a duck......!!!

Are you serious? There is no spin here. Toyota did what they said they were going to do. GM,F,C did not.

Just like I said earlier, you’re always trying to blame somebody for something. That behavior makes it very hard to have a reasonable conversation and is an underlying factor to failure to converse logically.

Somehow you've tried to portray Toyota as a bad guy, when they did what Govt. asked them to do.
And the Big Three decides to disobey the Govt. edict.
Toyota had every right to cry foul.
Yet you somehow take that and make it look like they did something wrong.
Shows us how your mind works.

Blaming others is your trademark Mr.Root, and this latest revelation simply confirms that.

That is an outright lie. Nobody has tried to portray toyota as a bad guy. Just how do you justify such a comment?
Toyota did the right thing here. Nobody ever said different. You are trying to blame me for something that doesn’t even exist. Go back and read the posts.
