Proposed climate bill a breath of fresh air

The climate bill, with its cap-and-trade component, that is to go to the House floor for a vote Friday is that rare piece of legislation that has both environmentalists and heavy industry saying they can live with the result. Full Story

THE REASON THIS BILL IS HISTORICAL IS BECAUSE IT GONNA INCREASE THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT AND CONTROL. IF THE DEMS DO THIS ITS POLITICAL SUICIDE.....I CANVASED FOR OBAMA AND I CRYED WHEN HE WON BUT THIS IS A BETRAYAL. I FRANKLY AM A LITTLE EMBARRESSED. IVE TAKEN DOWN MY OBAMA SIGN FROM MY FRONT YARD AND REMOVED THE BUMPER STICKER. I DO NOT CONDONE ALL THIS RECKLESS SPENDING. I REFUSE TO BE MICRO-MANAGED NO MATTER HOW MUCH I RESPECT OBAMA.
I WILL ORGANIZE AND CANVAS AGAINST THE DEMS COME NEXT ELECTION.

Kool-aid drinking idiots are engaging in lunacy on this thread. Of course these kool-aid drinkers are liberal in nature and they are uneducated and clueless idiots.

With liberalism, common sense is thrown out the window. It is replaced by 100% hypothetical conjecture. The fact that these hippie-losers claim to think with their heart says it all... you don't think with your heart, you think with your head.

Bleeding hearts, environutzis, and other lunatics of the left should have their faces beaten off with clubs because I don't think they'll ever get a clue otherwise.

Nowhere near 97% of scientists concur that global warming is manmade! There was NEVER a concensus. That CO2 was declared a pollutant by the UN, doesn't make it so. That Al Gore says the ocean is rising, storms will get worse, the sky is falling, should be taken with a grain of salt. Proponents picked and chose the "studies" that fit with their agenda, and surpressed the rest. It took some time for the truth to come out, but by golly, the "peasants with pitchforks" are on the way! Those in elected office best put their ears to the ground and head rumbling foot falls. Have never seen such anger at the grassroots level! Little doubt the 2010 elections will dramatically change the makeup of Congress... it will be a good start... 2012 will be the opportunity to begin the long process of real recovery. Get up! Get active! Campaign! Elect fiscal conservatives! Remove the likes of Geithner, Dodd, Frank, Pelosi, Reid, Rangle, etc. from positions of power, and hold the "new blood" responsible for their actions! Apathy got us in this position! Action and dedicated perserverence will get us out!

“Anthony Watts compiled the results of all the sources. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C — a value large enough to erase nearly all the global warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year time. For all sources, it’s the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.”

Global warming is a lie!
Here you have a one degree rise over 100 years vs .75 degree drop in just ONE YEAR!
Which would seem to be the most pressing of the two? And we aren't even talking about it!
AGW is a scam designed to tax capitalism to finance socialism.

HOW DARE THE GOVERNMENT TRY AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT.
I can not afford $175 more a year for energy like the CBO says it will cost me. I want my $.50 day now, so that I can up-size my coffee everyday.
Why should I care about my grandchildren's future? I will be far dead by the time that they all start to get cancer from the pollution that I was too cheap to fix.
It is always better to save money in the short run and spend way more on health bills and energy in the future. Who ever said it was responsible to think about your future when you spend money. Real Americans spend more money then they have and let the chips fall where ever they land.
Only liberals would think that spending money so that you can save money in the future, and protect your grandchildren, is a good idea. I don't need an education to know having $175 now is worth more then saving $300 in a few years.
MORONS with too much time on their hands are born every minute, and you sir certainly own your minute. Please stop wasting everyone's time with your snide bloated statements. You certainly are not a conservative. Own up to being a slobbering liberal. Gross misrepresentation makes any point you're trying to make mute.

What the Government is protecting is Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, and Buffet's interest in Green investments. Next year your electric, and natural gas bills will be $3,000. to $4,000. dollars more, and we will have lost 2,000,000 jobs. I hope one of them isn't yours.

Don't just post here, call and e-mail the senate

www.senate.gov

this is or at least was a democracy
and the congress was supposed to represent the people not just vote on bills like this because Obama wants them to pass them.

Act Now !

You can call but Congress got thousands, 10s of thousands, calls last Friday, and they didn't listen. The olny thing they will understand is waking up the Wednesday after the 2010 election without a job. Vote them out.
