Kinda puts a dent in that 'clean nuclear energy' story, eh?

Old technology isn't the technology of today. Nuclear has come a long way since the 70's. NYC has enough problems without adding 30% to everyones electric bill, what with all of the outrageous taxes the liberals have imposed. I can't make up my mind which state will be bankrupt first Calif. or NY. And a large percentage of their problems are caused by the EPA and other environmental agencies. It seems as though liberals will cut off their nose to spite their face doesn't it?

You are talking crazy. You cannot see that the energy problems of California started with the economic rape perpetrated by ENRON; and now you think Entergy will do the same to NYS, but you blame "environmental agencies?"

No, there are more non-nuclear power plants that use once-through cooling. Once-through cooling doesn't make anything dirty.

Funny that a state court rules based on federal statute...

So where are going Nuyawkerz get their energy?

Like they get everything, steal it from someone. Looks like more WVa and Ky coal miners will have to die and more WVa and Ky lung disease sufferers will have to die, to keep the Nuyawkars supplied.

Well, we should ALL be happy we're called to sacrifice for our overlords' schemes, shouldn't we?

The energy problems in California started with the shutdown of the Humboldt Bay nuclear power plant, the failure to build the Sundesert nuclear power plant, the Rancho Seco nuclear power plant shutdown and the San Onofre nuclear power plant shutdown. That set the stage for the natural gas and wind-power-company ENRON to benefit from the stupidity of the California politicians.

Those weren't "energy problems," those were dodged bullets.

It was Bush's deregulation that set the stage for the economic rape of the people of California by ENRON.

Your shallow lies are laughable. ENRON manipulated electricity supplies, by deliberate black & brown-outs; not wind power or gas.

Methinks, Senor Bill, you got a bit carried away.
.
What Meister Koz said is that, present enough productive capacity, say in form of Nuclear Powerplants, ENRON shell games, or the petroleum price gouging rape that's 4 decades and running, are impossible.

Only in your mind. There is not a shred of evidence to support your hysteria.

Shread one: of a thousand:
Where do you put the waste that remains poisonous for 100,00 years?

Shread ten, of a thousand:
Why can't I get insurance for my house in case of a nuclear 'incedent' if it is "so safe?"

Funny you ask. I do have an ideea.
.
Mix it with the stuf that stays poisonous forever (the oil refinery refuse and coal ashes). At least the radiation component will go down in a few millenia!

Because "nuclear incedent" is not well defined. And damages are not well defined either.
.
And also because you're not a nuclear operator, so any loss you incur should be repaid in full by the incedent perpetrator.

Bury it under the tens of thousands of tons of coal waste that remains poisonous forever.

Because you already have such insurance provided at no cost to you. Time to look for some real shreds.

No insurance is full coverage? I don't think so.

Your terrorist allies are not that stupid. You and your fellow anti-nukes have been calling for terrorist strikes on nuclear power plants for decades.

That would be harmless radioactive groundwater plumes. Are you really afraid of picocuries/ml of tritium? I don't believe that you are that stupid.

Mr_Bill had been calling for a US Marines armored platoon at each nuclear facility.

All you have are evasions of reality.
