jdee,

You can't get Northstardump to take a breath because he gets himself in a manic rage and its go go go.

It is fun to pull his strings. It is like he has such OCD he can not not reply to the smallest comment. I think he thinks their is a great their conspiracy out there which he can't quite define but he is sure its purpose involves him in some way.

Who cares. Thats the second time you have mentioned the same word 'manic', at least. People reveal themselves and own problems and issues by the things they have an affinity for, freudian slips and almost always in their own words.

"Our ability to monitor our underground piping???" How long did it take to identify the first leak, two or three months??? If they had the ability, why did it take so long while they scurried around like gophers digging holes? Trying to make it to their refueling outage without shutting down to stop the leak? This guy and this corporation lie about as often as they leak. Too bad Entergy didn't reorganize Mr. Smith. Shut them both down.

Stardust's problem is she takes herself too seriously. Has the market on serious in fact. Is the ONE that can see through the fog of hype and propaganda to the one truth.

Actually, I try to post only reasonable arguments, without any attack. But Stardust's continual attack style diatribes, I confess, got the better of me.

The substance is this: 6 billion people in this world need a lot of energy. We can't veiw it as merely a local problem ie. Vermont can get by with H-Q so we don't need VY. VY can and does displace coal and natural gas burning plants when it is online. Think Globally and act locally. Globally, we need nuclear right now. Right now, if you believe science, requires a significant reduction in greenhouse gases. Right now is NOT the time to close operating nuclear plants. Right now, the mountain tops of WV and Kentucky are being removed and dumped in the valleys to get to the coal. Right now, the oceans are heating up and the polar ice caps melting.

Now is the time to be educated about the relative risks and rewards of all of our energy choices. There is a risk associated with nuclear power. I understand it and it is small.

We need nuclear power now. If you want to get a solar panel for your roof, and insulate your house, that is good. But don't close a nuclear plant until the last coal plant is off line.

Ha ha, spoken like a true pronuclear activist. Congratulations! VT will do what it will do and we do not need your damned advice. Kindly wire it madam.

Attack-style diatribes? Oh please. You are reminiscent of an oh so infamous troll...Hmm. I am not fooled, another mere shill. and another silly diatibe spoken like a true nuclear industry stooge.

You can run, but you cannot hide. Busted.

Estimates are that VY had been leaking for 2 years prior to finding 'the leak'. A whistleblower in the midst of the 'leak search' claimed there was an unreported one prior. Hmm. How many more we don't know about.

I believe they knew all along and this was partly the reason for the sketchy paper company, Enexus, leaving next to nothing for decom, and no assets for liability and sharing liquid assets w/investors and stockholders. It fell apart like a house of cards.

From investors to regulators w/in the areas where the power plants are located, VT legislature as well as the public, all got a good long look at Entergy, up close.

As it scrambled around trying to dupe the public and rob the residents and taxpayers, it fell apart like a house of cards.

Nice guys. They wouldn't lie, now would they? The 'trust us''we know what we're doing''leave it to the experts' got old real quick, as well as the footsoldiers marched out w/mind numbing rhetoric after every mishap to assure the public all is well.

Very funny. There are few similiarities. Anyone who knows the markers to look for would never have surmised this. I'd give up the amateur detective work, you're not very good at it.

We don't need nuclear, there are many people in VT living successfully off the grid & not wanting for anything, I know a few, one of which has an enormous house. It's not difficult if you are smart enough...and it doesn't have to cost a lot with a little ingenuity.
I don't like the additional radiation, we get enough from other sources as it is. This plant is falling apart...this one needs to be closed down.
