"It appears that Entergy would like to select which information it would like to make public," she said. "That’s not being transparent as they claim to want to be."

Entergy is NOTHING it claims to be. And they ask for our trust??

I bet the politicians asked for the meeting to be held in private so the anti-nuke windbags don't threaten people with acts of violence. Whoops, politicians lie for a living! They will never say that!

Threaten w/violence? Oh please. How stupid. Judging from the crude, angry, trollish comments courtesy of Entergy, Yankee and propaganda machine to those opposed to these lying scumbags, as well as the rest of their silly antics, would appear to be the other way around. I think the're all pretty safe.

"...filled with bitterness, malice, extortion, envy, strife, deceit, evil thoughts,... slanderers, backbiters, revilers, proud boasters, covenant breakers..." Romans 1:29-31 in part.

As with our politicians, so with our corporations.

Frankly I was suprised at the amount of information that Entergy shared at its press conference recently. Are we not still at war? The diagrams and photographs showed way to much information (for my comfort) to those who would have terrorist ambitions. I had thought that such photographs were illegal during times of war/security threats?

Is there any evidence that Entergy's strange definitions of words were really in use then? The notion that if you take a pipe that runs underground, and then put some concrete around it, that it's no longer underground then ... whether or not it's a lie, it goes against all sense.

If the pipe was below grade in the basement of a building, then it's not necessarily "underground" because there's no ground over it. Once there's dirt on top of the pipe, it's underground by any reasonable definition. This is, in more than one way, a cover up.

'Heck of a job Brownie'. You're doing a great job, keep up the great work.

So much for 'openess and transparency'. Those of us who now know Entergy and read them like a roadmap-not surprised.

The ridiculous 'science' from the chorus and amen corner of their supporters rings ever more hollow w/ea daily revelation of their duplicitousness.

Their antics and folly-laughable, as is the neverending bs being peddled by their propaganda machine. Please do not blame Entergy/Yankee actions on politicians, public hysteria, newspapers, nuclear consultants (who know a heck of alot more than the nukepushers) or the unfoolable.

Why are they still trying to win back our trust? We don't want the license extended....that was the overwhelming vote. If that decision is somehow changed we will not only distrust Entergy, but every politician the state house. And voters would let them know that at the polls. Just start making plans for closing and cleaning up the plant.

Once again we are faced with a large corporation, putting conditions on its public and so called transparent filings and statements to public entities.

The key word is "public" which means that all of us should be able to read the report in its entirety if we choose to do so.

Just because the report may contain information that Entergy does not want public, does not warrant any discussion, or it negates the idea of independancy the public (that means us) required.

I find it hard to comprehend why there is even discussion about this. Release the report in its entirety.

When is Sen. Shumlin going to reveal where his 'Expertise in Vermont' where he "..read and understood...30% of Germany's power comes from Solar..".

What a bunch of hypocrits!

So which one of you wants to play Pontius Pilate?

Entergy lies...and lies... and lies...and tries to bribe people...and "miscommunicates"... and lies some more...and on and on and on...

Close the plant and start the clean-up process.

Hmmm...thinking about that "clean-cup"...maybe those people at top levels in Entergy ought to be examined more closely.

I think an intensive public audit/investigation of the entire company, its executives and upper management by an independent auditing/investigating company would show some very interesting things and corruption at many levels.

And all the results should be available to the public at large, and not "redacted".

We are at war so we should just take what ever we are given by the free market. Give me a break. How can you spew this bull $#!%. What is in it for you? I just don't understand.

Why don't you just put on your uniform and go scare some children?

Entergy being compared to Christ??? Dragging the bible into this now? Not so nice try. Ha! What a laugh. They are lying dirtbags, He was not.

Bad analogy. Like really, really bad analogy.

So, when caught w/pants around ankles for lying, lie to cover it up, and then, when caught yet again, lie some more to cover that up.

Then, try to get injunction to hide those lies, and then give press release to hide that lie, and lie again saying it was not a lie, but just the opposite. Uh huh.

Nothing new here. Business as usual @ Entergy/Yankee. Even their propaganda machine well schooled in th art of lying, they are caught every day trying to pull the wool over some gullible fools eyes whether its 'scientific' or numbers they pull out of a hat to explain away all of the neverending bs.

"...there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops"...

This fits Shumlin, the antis and Entergy, please specify?
Oh by the way, having grown ups dressing as cows, screaming at little kids at "The Strolling" in Brattleboro, that's your idea of getting your point across?

If you need to be told, this is not information you are able process @ this time. I do not wish to school those who are this challenged.

The rest of your comment about strolling heifers and screaming was a bit odd. I do not attend and do not live in Brat.

If you do not like what I have to say, fine. Anyone supporting Entergy/Yankee likely will not. The feeling is mutual.

Wah, I don't like smart people trying confuse me with "facts" and "numbers" and "science."

Sound like someone who spends too much time listening to Limbaugh and Beck.

Why don't you try to educate yourself instead of going through life as an ignorant fool?

"Once there's dirt on top of the pipe, it's underground by any reasonable definition."

While the above quotation may be so for us lay people, this isn't a "reasonable definition" it is an ENGINEERING definition that the state of Vermont's highly paid expert SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT!
