I am delighted at the rejection. As a retired prof of biology, I feel strongly that the issue of nuclear waste has never been settled in this country. The danger to all living things from radioactive waste cannot be overstated. I have seen irradiated fruit flies die overnight (admittedly from very high doses of radiation), but there is no really safe level.
