The list, apparently provided by "Now the end Begins," is alphabetical by state.

Episcopal churches are listed in boldface.

Sel's church isn't included in the list.

She must be disappointed in their lack of inclusiveness.

You know fellas, we can't change things by simply denying or disengaging or tending toward isolationism.

To characterize the members of any of these Churches as being "bigoted" for either reaching out or conversely, not directly reaching out to members of Islam is a gross misstatement. But, for sure, this reaching out is anything but a bigoted response.

The list is comprised of over twenty differing denominations of Christians, including at least two brands of Roman Catholicism. No mention is made of Episcopal liberalism versus claimed orthodoxy. But, my guess is that both are represented.

Just as there are local differences within Christianity, there are local diferences within Islam. Therefore, the proper response and engagement must be local. In some areas, communication and the recognition of common interests and goals will become immediately possible. In others, it will not.

I have watched people make foolish judgments about others by stereotyping all as being carbon copies of each other within a particular perceived grouping. But, making such judgments is NEVER entirely correct and is usually more incorrect than correct.

So, get your heads off for a minute and then take care to screw them back on correctly.

If you want to have another look at it, consider why it is important to have chosen to intervene in the course of development of modern acceptance of information in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. It takes literally decades to make lasting changes and now is no time to second guess ourselves.

These Christian overtures to Islam must be made and maintained. They are a most difficult and necessary part of the spreading of the Gospel.

I tried to find out what was meant by "cuddling" and was not able to do so. If it meant feedng hungry people who are Muslims, I would never condemn it. If it means showing a friendly face and a welcome to strangers among us, sounds down- right Christian to me. It could also mean a host of other things that might be bothersome - but I can't tell what they did to "cuddle" Muslims.

I don't have a clue what the 'cuddling' is either, apparently the why is unimportant to Mr. Virtue....

It's not Muslims; it's islam.

Cuddle means "to lie close to". For Christianity to "snuggle," or embrace islamic theology can be considered theologically traitorous, but I think the editor meant "coddle": to treat (islam) with excessive care, i.e, to pamper, or placate it.

Isaiah 56:7-8

7...for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

8 The Sovereign LORD declares — he who gathers the exiles of Israel:

“I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered.”

AND

If St Francis of Assisi can pray in a mosque then why should a Muslim not be allowed to pray in a church.

God wants to hear all our prayers. He is the Father of all mankind.

Luke 5:27-32

Jesus Calls Levi and Eats With Sinners

27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth.“Follow me,” Jesus said to him,

28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.

29 Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them.

30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples,“Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

31 Jesus answered them,“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Shocking!

I still have no clue what was meant. If coddle means to treat Islam like the British did Hitler under Chamberlain, coddle is a bad thing. If it means trying to find common interests and ways to co-exist without surrrendering, that might be a good thing. If it means throwing Jews under the bus to placate them, I say "F"orget that.

That is not called spreading the Gospel.

It is called diluting it.

Joe - Islam hold great respect for Diva Maria, Queen of Heaven and an Eternal Virgin. How can you hate their support of your church's own dogma?

http://campus.udayton.edu/mary/QuranAndMary.h...

THE VIRGIN MARY IN THE QUR'AN
Brother John M. Samaha, S.M.

from the article:

Both the Qur'an and the entire Islamic tradition consider Mary the most blessed and prominent of women. This belief reaches back to Muhammad as noted in Musnad by Ibn Hanbal. The founder of Islam placed Mary above even his daughter Fatimah, and said Fatimah would have been highest among women were it not for Mary.

The Qur'an is clear that Mary was born without sin, and that Jesus son of Mary was born of a woman who had no relations with a man, since the common reference to a man in that culture is as son of his father, not of his mother.

Poor joline is unable to respond to facts using his brain.

He'll wait for David Virtue to tell him what to say or he'll have one of his usual emotional outbursts.

Maybe he's on his period.

How can you claim to be a true son of the Church of Rome with such un-orthodox opinions?

No.

You regularly and consistently claim to be a Roman Catholic.

T McCabe is anything but "clueless." In fact, she points out your hyopocrisy and the falseness of your statements with remarkable acuity.

If D. Virtue actually meant to say "coddle," and I believe you are correct, what does that say about his own accuracy in "reporting?"

It says that he again reveals himself to be the barely educated, opinionated flake that he previously and regularly has shown himself to be.

Why do you rely upon this flake to present your sick opinions?

By using him as your source, you show yourself to be just as biased, hypocritical and ignorant as he is!

Your choice, I guess. But, one wonders why you would do this to yourself.

Then you should have no trouble finding all my quotes to that effect, but tht is that I don't have to claim to be anything.
