Oh, in case you don't know what a hate monger is, a hate monger tries to intentional incite hate in others.

Edna, they grow beans in your neck in the woods, don't they? You know beans are a gateway to obesity? The methane adds to global warming. And we cannot in good conscience allow you to spew your diatribe any longer. You have been blocked.

What's the matter, Amazed? Don't like the only real solution to eliminating drugs? Because prohibition doesn't work, and actually causes most of the problems associated with drugs.

You see, keeping things the way they are now isn't working.(Isn't that what you and Gunslinger advocate?) The government has been fighting this drug war for years, and drugs are more readily available now than ever. Obviously doing what we're doing isn't the answer, so what would be your solution then?

"EDNA" represents the extreme side of the issue, because the only real solution to eliminating drugs would be to test everyone daily, and kill anyone who doesn't obey the government's decree that its supposedly "free" citizens stay clean.

If this is not something you desire, the only other way to put drug cartels out of business would be to re-legalize and regulate. Otherwise, the violence will continue to spread. Remember, it's not the drugs that causes violence. It's the prohibition, which doesn't control drugs, it relinquishes control over drugs.

We have already lost too many of our freedoms because of this outrageous unconstitutional drug war. It makes one wonder if they really want to eliminate drugs since the drug war itself is such a cash cow, for both sides.

Continuing on the road we are is insanity. Prohibitionists just don't get that.

I apologize of "EDNA" offended anyone, but prohibitionists sound more like Edna than otherwise. They can't counter the argument that prohibition doesn't work, yet they name-call and advocate the same madness that has never worked. Since prohibitionists don't like listening to reason, I tried "EDNA" as a means to get their attention, and it appears to have worked. At the very least, I hope some of you were as entertained as I was.

I could continue, but I hope you get my point.

As for my location, that is easily manipulated on Topix if you know how. Anyway, try to be happy, and DO have a dandy day.:)

Go back & read my comments about this issue. I have not debated the legalization of drugs as I can see both sides.

My participation was in regards to the "cease and desist" correpondence that Reyes sent to our city Council. I stand by my original comments that the state of the ecomomy should be the main focus at this time. In case you haven't read any national news articles, it is the # 1 topic of conversation among all elected officials.

For the record, I do not see a need to manipulate my location. I also don't see a need to change my name at any time. I don't play those kinds of games.

You need to re-read your own comments. I will admit, however, that of all the prohibitionists here, you appeared to be the easiest to skew. The others lacked any mental capacity whatsoever. They just jumped right on board with Edna. That is what should scare you more than anything else.

You are so wrong. I re-read all my comments before I said that I had not participated in the legalizaton of drugs debate.

I challenge you (or anyone) to find a single comment of mine in which I stated my personal feelings about legalizing drugs.

As you appear to be sober today, you may be up to the challenge.

Called out by what dumb***?? Certainly not by some retarded doper like you. Unlike you, I don't try to hid anything. I most certainly am proud of my 24 years in the U.S. Military as well as more than 15 years, working for the Government on the Mexican Border. It is not possible to have a "civil discussion" with you because you are too much of an idiot to have an original thought or opinion of your on. You are either tagging onto some one elses opinion or you do absolutely nothing except try to demean and aggitate people who have an opinion that is not the same as yours. And by the way, what "work history" do you have?? "Well lets see, I been picking up cans on side of the road since, uh, well......." or, okay, okay, I got it "I was a Professor at Harvard........" You are just some old tired, good for nothing use-to-be, who is so pissed off at everything and everybody, that you cannot even stand yourself. You don't agree with MY opinion, don't say anything. Just try and have an opinion of your own and stop blaming everyone else for your ****ED up life. It is not OUR fault. I'm done with you. Go crawl under a rock and deal with your self-pity.

I could respond and prove you totally wrong as I always do, but this topic has been messed up by you for long enough.
Suffice to say, my point has been proven by your stupid rant, I rest my case. Buh bye.

What is the purpose for electing city council members that consistently make stupid decisions. I realize we elect "people" that represent the city but surely we are not a city of idiots. To be told that you are an idiot by your own congressman and by the federal government only questions our (residents of this city) intelligence and ability to elect real representation. Let's get rid of these council members making a mockery of us! As early stated "El Paso had to be told that it is an embarrassment to the remainder of the state!"...

City Council

The only thing idiotic about this issue is the mule-headedness of those people who believe marijuana prohibition has any positive effect.

We ended alcohol prohibition because it was causing epidemics of corruption, violence, childhood alcoholism, and general disrespect for law enforcement. Imagine how much worse things would have gotten if we had let it continue for 70 years. Guess what? We did. They just converted it to marijuana prohibition and convinced the people that the damage it was causing was due to marijuana consumers and vendors.

Most Americans are waking up from that illusion. You should too.

I imagine millions of people would get out of politics overnight if the government regulated the potency and distribution of cannabis for adult use similar to the way that they regulate the potency and distribution of alcohol. If people develop an unhealthy addiction to cannabis, they can seek treatment the same way serious alcoholics do. This is the proper way for American Society to treat this issue and it is the right thing to do.

Correct, except every major government study has found marijuana is not addictive.
