Good superintendents will stay here if they are from here. El Paso has many natives who would be fantastic superintendents... and they wouldn't leave.

Very sad about Mr. Estrada. He was with Clint his whole career.

Good teachers are like dedicated parishoners. It matters not the person "at the helm". They will continue to be "in the trenches" dedicating their talent and time to working toward their students' success (regardless of how many times it took them to pass their certification exams). In many cases, these same teachers are also funding activities and/or supplies that are not made available....the reason is always the same smoke screen: budget crunch! I'm sure one of those measly stipends our great supers receive would release quite a few teachers from their monetary sacrifice.
It is true that there are many qualified and outstanding candidates that are from El Paso. However, you know the truth: you can never be a prophet in your own land. Hopefully EPISD will take notice of the talent in their own back yard!

I meant to say:
Good teachers are like dedicated parishioners --those who don't care who is their pastor, priest, etc., they will be there helping, listening to mass, caring for the parish business no matter who is preaching to them.....

Even though Garcia admitted it, it is still a rumor?
