Isn't that the truth. Well sounds like YISD is in for an interesting next for years, months, however long this clown stays around.

This is why the call for combining all the schools districts in el paso into one is so high. These are ridiculas amounts for people that never seem to last. Why would the school district pay for the last guys home. maintenance, taxes and so forth. Wow for a school board these people were taken to the bank.

Congradulations to Ysleta and to Dr. Zolkoski. I am a proud Brownsville Independent School District Dyslexia Lab Teacher. He catapulted our spirits and motivated our teachers to do better and to be better. Our leadership was at it finest when he was at the helm. Again, congradulations and good luck to you and Donna.

Good luck to Dr. Zolkoski and YISD. Whenever there's new leadership introduced there's bound to be resistance on everyone's part. Here's hoping the transition is smooth and successful, especially for the kids.

Maybe the first thing he could do is kick out all of the non US Citizens from the schools that we pay for. That would make a big dent on the high dropout rates.

Another glib, pandering insincere, ego maniac, in it only for himself!
Just wait, the YISD will garner millions more from us taxpayers when this new clown superintendent starts proposing all sorts of new bond issues, "for the kids"!
Taxpayers, you'd better get a hold of your wallets!
Did you see his nose elongate when he said he does well with, and loves kids?
I bet he loves the money and perks even more!
Why do our idiot elected trustees keep falling for these lying dupers' lies?

Considering Dr. Zolkoski will spend the majority of his time working with ADULTS, it's a real shame that he doesn't "do well with adults".

Maybe we can set him up in the corner of the sand box on the playground and he can sit their patiently until recess time to WORK with the children!

YISD school board: I guess you haven't learned from past mistakes.

YISD employees: Good luck!

Wow, 240,000. That's a lot of money. I wish they would post his exact duties. He did separate from Tulsa for quite a bit more money, but why?

What a slap in the face to all the Eduactor talent in El Paso! Another blow to the Hispanic culture, a city of 600,000 people, 80% Hispanic and we can't find some one to lead our school districts, who relates to our cultural needs and has the same ability as this outsider to take us to another level? The whole YISD board should be fired.

I just saw that Ysleta trustee Montelongo on a TV commercial pigging out on chicken wings from Wing It! Are we sure these trustees don't get paid?

That's what he will say to justify when he and Liza start making decisions and begin harassing the YISD employees.

Dr. Z did more for the Hispanic community in OK than any prior superintendent in that area ever had. Are you trying to say that we should hire only Hispanic? Do you not remember that the last one was and he didn't do any better..... I don't think color has anything to do with it.

So what? What does that have to do with the work she does for YISD. By the way Trustees are not Paid by the district. Its volunteer and if you were to look, they spend a very large number of hours volunteering for the District.

Zolkoski is multilingual. He does not deal well with adults who try and butter him up. He does like to visit the campuses and classrooms.
