Funny how they dont state that more illegal migrant female are raped by BP agents. Oh Especially in the DEL RIO sector for Even AGENT VILLAREAL at the POE has offered women the option to either give it up or go back to Mexico. Oh and he still charges them a fee for their papers or permits!!!

It's funny how you mention Border Patrol abuses and corruption. They are very common and rampant and yet the El Paso Times never reports on those types of crimes. In recent years the BP has grown by several thousand more agents, and in budget. They can now afford way more equipment and high tech gear and yet the drugs and people still keep flowing through the border. How you might ask, well, la mordida is also well practiced on this side of the border. I knew a person once that had a relative in Phoenix. This relative's boyfriend (an undocumented immigrant) went out to the corner store to buy something. He didn't come back because he was caught by the BP. He was deported. He came back through the desert in AZ. When he and his group were walking through the desert they were caught by two BPmen in a vehicle. They were all put in the back of the vehicle and driven to the outskirts of a town. The vehicle stopped and one of the agents turned around. He asked them for money if they wanted to get off. If not they would be driven back to the border. He was lucky, he had money. This kind of filth goes on all the time, yet the Times never reports any of this. How come?

OH I CAN GIVE YOU NAMES AND I BELIEVE I STATED ONE GOOD FISH BUT HEY. THESE PEOPLE STILL WONT LISTEN. DEL RIO TEXAS IS ONE OF THE MOST CORRUPT PLACES THERE IS EVEN FOR A SMALL TOWN. FROM A FEDERALS JUDGE BROTHER WHO ALSO WORKED AS A ICE AGENT AT THE EAGLE PASS POE! HE WAS CAUGHT SMUGGLING MARIJUANA AND COCAINE, AND I KNOW OF BP AGENTS THAT THEY THEMSELVES TOLD STORIES OF MAKING THE WOMEN HAVE SEX IN RETURN FOR THEIR RELEASE ONLY THAT AFTER THEY WHERE SIMPLY DROPPED OFF AT THE BRIDGE TO GO BACK TO MEXICO.

Hence, I suggest profiling for Border Patrol. No more latinos / hispanics. We don't need "cuzeens" working to keep each other out.

The border patrol should be blonde haired, blue eyed American born men and women who never learn a lick of Spanish. Preferably who know how to shoot to kill. With a military type chain of command and reporting system, so that these kinds of incidents are made to be even more of an exception than they already are.

THAT would provide fantastic security at the borders.

Excellent idea! They should also wear pointy hats and attend secret meetings at night. They should be trained in the art of cross burning. Man! That should provide excellent border security! It's a good thing that there is no such thing as a corrupt white person. I just wish that those Alaskans would stop electing Mexicans to the senate, like that bribe taking very corrupt senior republican senator from Alaska, Teodoro Stevensez. Thanks for the great idea Patriot!

P.S. America is a continent, not a country. We are all Americans... pendejo.

wow hence? ok as it is the border patrol is mainly comprised of about 90% hispanic/latinos as you put it. And you want to replace them with true ARYAN hmmm now thats going to be a problem since first off not even in our military no such freak exists. Second your pure white bearing women well they aint so pure anymore they well as they say "once you go brown you'll never frown". Hell even Hitler himself was a bastard brown hair brown eyes hell probably ghandi was his brother for all we know.

Going back to all white see another problem is you trailer dwelling freaks dont have the intellect us hispanic/latinos have thats what separates the men from the boys. And thats the reason white women hell women all over the world prefers a well as they say a "LATIN LOVER" even the border patrol. You trailer dwellers just cant hack it heck logg on on the border patrols web site and you'll see the drop out figures and well you opies are to dopies!!!!

Hey Realist, NORTH America is a continent. The United States of America is a country on that continent, however those born in Canada and Mexico are Canadians and Mexicans, not Americans. I'm not saying that Anglos are any less likely to be corrupt, however, if you emplace a military reporting / chain of command you have multiple eyes on each person, and a reporting system within so that those who are doing wrong can be reported and checked up on. It does work, though there are always exceptions. However, from what I'm hearing, not as many.

As for your fashion sense, you're WAY off mark. I was thinking black uniforms with little arm bands. It would work a hell of a lot better than our current system.

Mexicans and Canadians are Americans. Just like all South Americans are also Americans. It's a mixture of both ego and ignorance that keeps people like you from learning this simple fact. The oldest soccer cup in the world is South America's "Copa América". It is named for the continent, not for the United States of America. The most loved and hated soccer team in Mexico is named the Club América, and no, it isn't named in honor of the U.S. In 1812, one of the most famous Mexicans ever, José María Morelos, a Mexican War of Independence hero, said: "May slavery be proscribed forever, as also the distinctions between castes, making everyone equal, and only vice and virtue will remain to distinguish between Americans". He wasn't referring to gringos, but to Mexicans. Look it up so you won't make an a s s yourself again with that one. I can't help you with the other ones.

Realist,
Lighten up for a moment and accept the "reality" that although they fully "realize" that their nation is located on the North American continent, Canadians do not normally consider or refer to themselves as "Americans" (with or without an accent over the "e").
Likewise, the peoples of the rest of the countries on this tenuously connected super-continent of "America", generally think of themselves respectively as Mexicans, Guatemalans, Bolivians, Argentines, etc...
All of those peoples, rather, other than those who live in the United States of America. We also tend to think of ourselves in rather exclusive terms, but prefer to address ourselves as "Americans".
It could be that citizens and permanent residents of the USA are just snobs, or mean, or just don't get it. It could also be that there just aren't any better ways to identify ourselves that actually roll off the tongue easily or are as pleasing to the ear. Of course, up until your beloved Mexico adopted its Constitution as the United States of Mexico, we could have deferred to all of those peoples with whom US citizens generally had no contact at the time and taken to calling ourselves "Uniteds" or something stupid like that, but that gives up alot in the way of aural appeal.

As for your scholarly run down of all of the contrarian examples of the use of the term "America", I just wanted to congratualte you on your quote of Snr. Morelos and ask you "how did that turn out?"
Never mind, we all know.

Facts are facts biker. It is not my problem if citizens of the United States don't really have a proper name of calling themselves. America is to Mexicans the same as Europe is to Italians, period. We are all Americans on this land mass.
As for Father Morelos, whatever you read about him, he was a great man. Napoleon Bonaparte once said of him that if he had fifteen of him, he could conquer the world. He was able to organize and successfuly lead a ragtag army against the Spanish Imperial army and beat them at almost every turn. He was captured only while covering the escape of the rebel congress, in other words he sacrificed himself for what he believed was a better cause. As for his dream and his words, well, slavery was abolished in Mexico long before it ended here. Mexico's second president, Vicente Guerrero, was a mulatto, and just fifty years after Morelos' death, benito Juarez, a full-blooded indian, was president. So I guess that the caste system established by the Spaniards did go out the window too.

It is very seldom one can come across a forum on Topix with actual intellectual banter, instead of racial slurs and insults. That being said I am sure it will not be long now that one will come along.

It was a pleasure to give you all a read. As for the article it is correct in the fact one usually only thinks of "illegal aliens" and not in the fact someone could have been trafficked into slavery, this was an eye opener.

Only white women with unusually tiny vaginas! Recently a lovely lady (who is Hispanic) told me that she is through with "Latin Lovers" because of the "machismo" factor AND because of the common problem that "Latin Lovers" suffer from: TINY PENISES and the fact that these "Latin Lovers" try to convince women that they are "well hung" when if fact 4 inches IS NOT "well hung"! Maybe that is the reason that the "Latin Lovers" have to be so suave, is that they have such tiny packages. This lady is about to enjoy being filled up by the "massive whiteness". She will definitely never go back to "going brown". Try using an extention next time, maybe you can convince some stupid woman that you're "wel hung". Anything's gotta be better than what you've got! Ha ha ha. You tiny pee-pee ****.
oh yea coming from someone called hymen destroyer, subconsciously you couldnt even penetrate that. as for tiny penis well i am well endowed but point being your latin lady friend just got tired and got americanized no more cooking haveing her q*u*e*e*r* white boyfriend or as we say in spanish "MANDILON" to do her bidding hence the typical overweight lazy wannabe white hispanic woman. In all actuality it's a scientific provewn fact that whites genetically are naturally penis deficient as proven by and seen by all in the sports world very minisculed are the whites in any games henmceforth the segregation of other ethnic groups in past history sporting teams in the US. Now that segregation is out all white players replaced by Blacks and other ethnic groups.

Where have you been?

Jaw-dropping, eye-opening give me a break. Does the editorial board in El Paso LIVE in El Paso? How could human trafficking come as a surprise to people in a city that shares space with one of the most dangerous places in the world? People are dying on the streets just over the border, women are murdered daily, narcotraficantes are in power in Mexico and yes, even, in El Paso. What world do you all live in? This editorial just goes to show the disconnect of this newspaper to its city. Talk to your cop reporter bet he'll have some things to tell you.
