When will the rapist oil companies give us a break?
(I know, it's wishful thinking). Our gas prices used to be cheaper than the national average, the we were about even with the national average, and now we are falling way behind the national average. NEWS HOUNDS, FIND OUT ABOUT EL PASO'S MR. OGLE AND HIS AUTOMOTIVE INVENTIONS IN THE 80'S, AND PUT PRESSURE ON OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS.

Wow El Paso is paying almost 50 cents more than the rest of Texas. We paid 1.83 on wednesday. That's just plain wrong.

Gas is $1.71 at the H.E.B. and $1.84 at Wal-Mart here in Austin.

What! That's all? What's wrong with the people of El Paso? Have you all become so duped by Foster of Western Refinery and Congressman Reyes that you are now stupid too?
I just returned from the Washington D.C. area and their gas prices are under $1.93 a gallon; and they have no refineries in that city. My niece lives in Albuquerque and their gas has been under $2.00 a gallon for more than a month and they truck or pump the gasoline into that city.
Moreover, why does it cost us more than $2.45 a gallon on the West side of El Paso and $2.14 a gallon on Gateway East?
âWake Upâ people of El Paso before it is too late! You are being sucked dry by your own stupidity, laziness and non-involvement. You should raise hell with every elected official you put into office and do the same with every business you do business with as well. You should demand that they stop gouging you at the pump and you should stop buying their products since that is the only way to get their attention.
The same thing should be applied to Time Warner Cable and any other business that does not provide good service and charges you outlandish rates for their services. If they charge too much, cut them off since they have a monopoly on cable, order Direct TV or Dish Network. You have control; do not let them control you.
More importantly, Congress (including Congressman Reyes) has already sold you down the river when it passed the "Wall Street Rescue Plan". Now they are going to dump more of your money into a black hole called Wall Street and other financial institutions and businesses leaving you, your children and your grand children holding the bill while the executives of those institutions and your Congressional Representatives laugh at you from their resorts and offices in Washington.
Think of it, while you struggle every day to make ends meet to put food on the table, pay the rent or mortgage, pay the utilities and gas to get back and forth to work (if you still have a job), they will be enjoying the nice weather in the Caribbean or the Bahamas. Or, like Congressman Reyes, they will be enjoying the fruits and benefits of the lobbyists who pay for his attention and his votes in congress while you struggle to just to get by.
